I care somewhat. I prefer they stick with lore, but would forgive them for adding something awesome so long as they can provide a reasonable explanation for it.
I love the game's lore, but I'll forgive them if they have to fudge things for gameplay purposes. And how dare you make a poll that is not biased or nonsensical?

It's like a good book, it should make sense in the long run.

I don't care at all. Add whatever.
I usually care about lore A LOT; however, lore that includes a large prevalence of magic and magical events ends up having little to no serious plot. Think about it, elder scrolls lore has things like time travel, different dimensions, robots, and effing cat people. I'm just surprised we don't have a Rick and Morty event where Rick is trying to bang all the lusty Argonian maids :D. In short, I just don't care what happens in terms of lore since it's always crazy in Tamriel.

    No, I don't.
Not sure how you got that from my poll. I tried to make it unbiased, and didn't insert my own opinion into it. Seems like you just pulled that out of your buttcrack with no evidence at all. Thanks for participating, though.

Lore can change, when challenged by new factual information.
Example - Original lore - the world is flat. Factual information supported by evidence - the world is round.
So yes, as long as its supported sufficiently, I have no issue with Tamriel Lore changing as new 'facts' emerge.

I do not accept ESO lore as real lore. More like some spin-off or whatever. So I do not care so much about strange things.
But I'll be angry about global lore failures, which will make the game not Elder Scrolls. (like dragons in 2nd era, etc).

    For me its simple.

1.) Dont break existing lore. Thats not to say dont contradict it in some fashion or even add more elements to something. But what I am talking about is major lore points that have a large impact on other single player games....Like introducing Alduin now and having us slay him....That would be lorebreaking for Skyrim.

2.) If you add something. At least take the time to give us some explanation as to its appearance in game. Atronauch mounts? Okay....Its possible that this is a thing considering we can fashion storm atronauchs from stone and lightning and have them fight for us. But why not some lore books delving into their origin and how one might go about summoning them?

All I expect is that they respect the already established lore enough that it doesnt absolutely undermine other ES games and that what they do add they have the common courtesy to add lore explaining it so that in future installments of ES theres some history and presedence to it.

I care for the Lore a lot since TES III: Morrowind. TES Lore is deep and damn interesting in its mythology and personal stories. New content must complement this, but be careful, please, it's so fragile.

The thing about lore is its a guideline. That doesn't mean its not going to turn at times. Its the hard reach that I dislike. If we get unicorns farting rainbows, I'm not going to like it. That doesn't fit to me. I can barely stand the crate mounts (by that I mean I hate them) but they don't completely look out of place because we've seen that type of creature before (just not in the shape of a camel... good god). I like game holidays. I dislike game holidays that look exactly like our holidays. They should fit within the game. The can celebrate the Winter Solstice for example but no Santa. That sort of thing just annoys me. Perhaps its not exactly lore related and more the atmosphere but still.

I care about the lore a lot but I understand this is an MMO set in the past. It has demands and restraints unlock a single player game at the most recent part of a timeline. If them playing fast and loose with the lore sometimes makes for a more fun and creative game, then I'm okay with it.

Can't even put into words how much I don't care. Games are games, they're meant to be fun.

If my wife had two tires and a seat, she'd be a bike.

Games aren't arcade quarter vaccums anymore. We've made so much progress in crafting stories and worlds that make us feel such strong emotion that having fun is just a small part of the experience.

    That's why lore is important.
