I tried joining couple guilds that were 200 and 450 members respectively. I did not enjoy the experience at all. It was almost exactly like a zone chat, except zone chat was chattier. I will probably either remain guildless but look for temporary companions in alliance war, dungeons and what not, a perfectly viable option it seems, or in the long run create my own guild, albeit unlikely, and limit the guild to 20-40 players and foster more intimate setting with roster being periodically refreshed with active players. I've ran many successful guilds but it really is a lot of work and baby sitting to be honest, so I prefer not to run one again but hey, if it's totally casual it might be alright. I also plan on crafting all of my own gears even if it takes me over a year to do it

Yes, but I don't like it and want to be a part of the larger consciousness
No, but I'm thinking about going lone wolf
No, I'm definitely playing this game like a typical MMO
