So Sorc w/Molten Armaments? You have a pocket DK or figured out how to class hybrid?crashen17b14_ESO wrote: »It is actually pretty good for a heavy attack lightning staff mag sorc. Infiltrator jewelry + dw sweetsong on the back bar, with molten armaments, maelstrom lightning staff on the front bar.

Wait, which one?
*Looks up set.*
*Vomits.*
But, yeah, I've got to agree with Harbinger here. This is not a set worth farming.

Edit
Which, with the direction of morrowind might be even more viable.

You should not be so quick to Judge. Infiltrator can be higher DPS than Viper... Quite easily in fact.

The problem is, unless the info I was reading was wrong (which meshes with my recollection), it's a hybrid set. That already starts pigeonholing it.
To be honest, the snide judgement had more to do with it being a medium armor set with a magicka focus, combined with the weapon crit up.
I have no doubt this set appears to do more damage on paper, I'm just not convinced it's actually more effective than even something like Julianos.

Weapons and Jewelry. It's backbar so the 4 piece would never be used, as 4+5 is only on backbar. But i do understand that initial reaction to the set.
The set adds about 4-5k dps to your heavy attacks with a lightning staff on a proc without cooldown. It wrecks in duels (got duelist title in two days, it just destroys stamina builds), the stamina you get is very useful for both PvE and PvP and I've cleared Hardmode Trials with the Build posted above. You can do 38k dps on single target that is full AoE. 44k raidbuffed single-target dps that is full AoE isn't too shabby, is it?
It works exactly the same as the vMA lightning staff. 1100 Base damage multiplied by 4 cp stars (ele expert, thaum, staff expert and Elfborn).
Yeah you lose magicka, and have a wasted weapon critical bonus in it too. But which set gives you 4-5k dps on the five piece only?
Elegance is weaker than it in CP Content. Hell I hit for 28-29k per critical tick in trials... The two Sweetsong Swords are actually pretty awesome. Sharpened would be better, but who has the time to grind that...

Kill 1st boss - unique UI necklace drop (Chain of the Snake Charmer)
Run to Wamasu boss, kill him to open door.
Run to boss with snake pet - unique precise sword (Sweetsong). You'll need 2 of those till/if you get sharpened ones. Pull lever after you kill her.
Run to last boss, pray for rings/sharpened swords.

Gold out your 2 Sweetsongs because you won't get sharp swords.

Mate, you can throw links at me all you like, I can guarantee I've seen them. Actually if you look at my signature, I released a very high dmg heavy attack build for Update 12. Masel's builds are fine, but they are by no means BiS for what is achievable. Just because it has vMA or vMol, approved.
