Change it so that when you hit your target with the assassin's will bow, they're debuffed with Minor Vulnerability for 10 seconds?

The bow mechanic is still clunky because you have to click the skill twice. NB combat should be fluid and dynamic and the current grim focus/spectral bow mechanic isn't weak because it doesn't do enough, but it's weak because it's hard to work into a DPS flow.

Buff Grim Focus in Another Way

1. Make both morphs of the Spectural Proc un-dodgeable (PvP)
2. Let the proc have more up time. Like around 10 seconds. As of now it some times bugs out when you switch bars to press it. Could just be me or the timer runs out too quick.
3. Should re cast the ability for free when the Bow is fired

Yeah, it is rather clunky, and for the assassin skill line it forces melee to use a ranged attack. So, what would your idea be for this skill? Something perhaps like gaining Major Berserk for 2 seconds every 4th light attack?

I really don't think that it should be recast when used, at least, not with how the current damage is. Using a sub optimal build that thing hits for like 14K damage without critting.

The post above yours has the three options that I think the entire NB community agrees on. We all like the skill because it provides a pretty good buff at a fair price, but the execution is lacking. It doesn't need to be tuned up or down significantly in any direction, a fix would be nice. Either auto-fire and reapply when it's ready (up to the original cast duration), fix the proc so that it doesn't go away when we switch bars or finish casting the current skill, and it would be nice if the NB had an undodgeable skill somewhere in their class line.

That's fine. I posted the third option on a whim.

However, I'm pretty hard fast to having the Spectural Bow be un dodge able . With that work that is put into getting it set up, it needs to be more of a reliable threat.

I'll add, make it a raw 8% that way it doesn't cancel out due to combat prayer and it will buff NB in PVE trials. Unless that's overboard?

That makes sense. I can see where that can overwrite.

To back pedal out of PvE. I run into this in situation PvP too. Like, I sometimes get that buff put on me by healers.

Yeah. Huh. so in trials every other DPS that isn't a NB has Minor Berserk added to them, but NB's just have that skill being *** all useless (since the healers are applying Minor Berserk for them). And since it requires two casts for use, in that time you'd get more damage from using your spammable twice.

Minor vulnerability is already going to be on most mobs in trial situations so this really wouldn't help nightblades much. Maybe if it was a general damage taken increase that could stack with major and minor vulnerability like the debuff on soul harvest but in the current form of your suggestion it would do nothing for pve and might be too good in pvp.

Auto-Refresh the skill/buff after using the Bow Proc.

That would be more than enough. It's like getting free Killer's Blade at any HP pool every few seconds.

No way, they already do too much burst damage in pvp and now you want to add even more damage for 10 seconds. Terrible idea.

Buff Grim Focus in Another Way

Remove the "hidden" 0.1 second cast time from the Spectral Bow to improve functionality and improve ease of use.

Increase light attack requirement to 5 light attacks BUT change the proc so that the ability does not need to be recast-- firing the Bow would simply reset the number of light attacks needed to fire it again. The minor berserk effect persists after the Bow is fired, but the ability must be constantly recast anyway to get another Bow shot. It's pretty clunky how it is now...

^This or something like it would be a pretty strong buff, but...It's pretty much uncontested that NB, especially mNB is coming up short compared to other classes.
