Cronopoly✭✭✭✭✭At this point I can only imagine Morrowind Quest / Zone fixes incoming. I'm not expecting Sustain Nerf reversals. If ZOS caves on Planned Nerfs it would indeed look like ridiculous of them all along to have inflamed their most loyal fans causing many to quit just because they decided on purpose to "Put the frog in boiling water".

I know a bunch of long term, but casual players who used PTS as a sort of detox period. We used to log on to do dailies, pvp on the weekends, and an occasional trial grind or two. Most of them are 30+ years old and have a costume selection that would make Barbie jealous. I don't know of more than a few who are renewing their eso+ in the coming months.
I mean, this is anecdotally, but when faced with the decision of "You can't play your way anymore, so you have to play our way or leave" they silently left.
Even if they come back, I doubt they'll dive head-first into it even at the level they were at 2 weeks ago.6 -

It's broke and needs to be fixed. ESO today is "easy mode" and it encourages new players to almost skate past content. This update does not fix this, but it is a step.
Normal everyday common PVE players can make a build that allows them to easily meet normal challenges in the game. They are totally unaware how high the end-game ceiling is. Many of them are not even aware that the end-game floor is well above their head. They are living, day to day, with DPS that might be a quarter of what people brag about in here.
