As of right now, medium armor is weak as hell. For stamina builds in pvp, 5 heavy is likely going to outperform 5 medium in sustain and survivability. Now I am aware light armor got this nerf as well, but if we compare the passive trees we will notice that medium armor had a passive dedicated to sneak, one many would consider useless, while light has spell penetration. Spell pen is certainly the stronger of the two passives, and if medium armor was given physical pen that would probably op. I'd propose medium passives stay same as live currently, so that medium builds arent Killed completley come morrowind.

Actually wearing 7 pieces of light armour & medium should grant a higher reduction/regeneration than previous.
Would give players the choice of more sustain at the cost of losing a lot of damage

In this video, @Alcast does a side by side comparison of PTS vs live and shows just how bad the nerf to both sustain and damage is. Here are the takeaways:
    1. He loses anywhere from 6-10k DPS depending on what his configuration is.
    2. Changing just the glyphs made almost no difference.
    3. Making a heavy attack build in Morrowind does the best DPS, and likely will be the meta if they don't change more.

As he said, ESO is supposed to be about fast paced action, and forcing us to FREQUENTLY weave heavy attacks considerably slows down the action making playing less exciting.

I think what you meant to say was 'problem shifted' - everyone knows that you can now shift to stack full cost reduction and weave in a heavy attack every cycle... the real question is whether that amounts to making the game more enjoyable or just artificially making fights longer and more boring.

Yea medium armor has been the weakest armor for the last 2 patches atleast, I cant understand the nerf to medium armor for morrowind. I doubt any of the devs play in medium armor, just look at the plethura of skills thats become undodgeable and they are adding more skills to this list. I dunno...I just dunno..

First, both light and medium had their cost reduction passives reduced.

Second, heavy armor has never trumped medium for sustain and I sought giving up 14% cost reduction and the regen that comes with it will underperform heavy constitution passive.

I am nor arguing in support of the changes. I think Zos is strong arming us to play in a way the game has never needed to be played and saying it's how ESO was meant to be. Zos' vision is one that seems to be without sight.

Lol, what do you mean heavy armor has never trumped medium for sustain? Did you ever try a black rose stamina build? Or any low-recovery stamina build for that matter? Heavy CERTAINLY outperformed medium in terms of sustain in pvp between the heavy attack passive and constitution. I'd argue that even in homestead this was still the case. This may change in morrowind, but that doesn't change the fact that an already weaker armor weight was further nerfed in the name of balance.

I addressed light armor as well. medium armor has a passive that ONLY AFFECTS SNEAKING. 3/4 stamina classes DO NOT USE SNEAK. Light armor has a passive for penetration. You literally cannot compare those two passives, thus my suggestion.
