Why Is Pitch So Expensive Now?

Was looking around a few guild stores on PS4-NA, and Pitch is selling for up to 600g per piece... Why is that a thing? Meanwhile Rosin is selling for 4K-6k a piece. I don't get it. Can someone explain to me why it is that Pitch is treasured so much now, and costs so much? Last I can remember, people had abundances of it laying around in guild banks and in their regular banks. Why all of a sudden now is it so marked up?

    You need it to craft a lot of furniture, so yeah that's why

    A piece of wooden gear needs 2 pitch to upgrade to green. And with most popular builds using dropped gear that is always at least green already, pitch was in very low demand. However, most green furniture needs, I think, 9 pitch to craft. So it really is a massive increase in the need for pitch.

    LOL, yea, I have 1100 in my bag, but it is selling for less than 100g on my server.
