VMA Poor Drops A.K.A RNG

Farming lighting sharpen since last 80+ runs but no luck,

I am infact not getting lighting staff drop, Bows, Battle Axe, Restor, Ice Staff, Sword and Board are just dropping all the time.

Infact traits are poor including decisive, Defending, charged dropping multiple times.

Ok there is no token system atleast why can not item or traits drop in a sequence or non repetition of same trait till all 9 traits dropped?

I am tried seeing same arena over and over..its not fun especially I am not getting flawless run because of Round 7 stupid Posion RNG! and OP Boss damage!

I am running 4-5 runs a day and still no luck, just starting hate A.K.A RNG!

Yikes man, well they won't be doing you any favors now or next patch. Keep at it, get your quick runs in before it takes you even longer later on. You'll get it! One day..I still need a defending GS/Mace.

That's why keep running, I am getting out of space.

I got like 10 defending Swords and Mace! b/w i can see Nirnhoned/Sharpen has a good use in PVP

What are you gonna do with Defending Mace?

I believe the reason you arent getting what you want is because you share a loot table with the rest of the community. So that 1 percent chance of the perfect item drop os 1 percent among thousands of players. I also believe that certain items are even more rare than others.

You are playing into exactly how the game was designed. Put sought after items behind mechanics that keep you coming back. Its laregely possibly you can do it 1000 times and never get the item you want.

Its like playing the lotto basically.

I started farming myself but when I saw 1 Sharpened drop after 25 runs, I quickly said "Nope, Life is too short!"

I actually made a list but I am at work. I will post it tonight.

Besides the morrowind patch notes (and maybe group finder) this vMA rng issue is the most notorious topic on the forums...

many... MANY people would love to see it changed but for some reason ZOS likes to think of this item grind as content.
I'm something like 100 runs deep and still missing quite a few things to max my dps out.

Granted, the dps difference isn't huge without vma weapons... but thats why its so damn frustrating to not get your desired item.

RNG is RNG it took me a year 400+ runs to get a sharpened Inferno staff and right after I got it I got another one just the luck of the draw

I agree the RNG of the drops can be a pain.

RNG is RNG it took me a year 400+ runs to get a sharpened Inferno staff and right after I got it I got another one just the luck of the draw

I got all sharpen items except Lighting, 2H Sword, Battle Axe!

I just wanted lighting since i started VMA!

B/W meta will change with Morrowind, Nirnhoned may get upto par with Sharpen!

I now have five sharpened lit vMA staffs. Still don't have a fire one though.. My feeling are the same as yours at this point. Running it 300+ times as I have and still not receiving the item I want has me feeling defeated. I'm paying a monthly fee to feel defeated. It's one of the main reason I canceled my subs last week. I'm just so tired of it and disappointed in them that they keep pushing this horible rng system at us.

What are you gonna do with Defending Mace?

Back bar defending 2h for rally on a heavy armour build while puncture+LA+bash on 1hand shield bar. Also because it's the only weapon I don't have in that trait as of yet. Greatsword or Axe really, Mace is just a sub for 'if'.

Edit: I call it the 2h mace instead of maul lol sorry for the confusion. Get those weekly leaderboards if you can as well!

Which means they dont care whatsoever, and it will stay like this for quite some time. That is the sad part. Main reason I just stopped running it.

This is the first I've heard of RNG causing a grind in VMA. Looks like someone would have mentioned it sooner.

I really feel bad for everyone that has ran this countless times and hasn't gotten even close to what they want. REally think what they should do is make certain traits only appear on certain weapons.Then again knowing them they would probably screw that up too.
