    No!

    Reason: because.

But for real, yes I agree good suggestions. Some just keep doing those things because they can get away with it. Nothing can be done.

I agree with the sentiment behind your post, however, I don't agree with your thick skin comment. I've said it before, but some people really do need to grow a thicker skin. Everything negative that's ever been said to me on here or in-game has been water off a duck's back. Anything anyone can throw at me I've had worse said to me by people who actually mean something to me. If I've insulted someone on here or had a wee spat with them, it really has never been anything personal. I don't know them and 99% of them I forget 1min after having a little spat with them. They're probably good guys/gals. Just the internet makes us all think we're never wrong and only our opinion matters.

I fully understand why younger people may see things in a different light because social gaming and media in general is something that's been part of their growing up. None of this existed during my teens and during my 20's it was well and truly in its infancy and more people never used it than did, if that makes sense. I can fully separate one from the other. One is virtual and meaningless (to me anyway), whilst real life is real life.

All that said, both decency and manners cost nothing and I only wish some people out there realised acting the big bad gaming badass made them look ridiculous rather than the awesomely edgy individual they think they're being.

The issue is growing thicker skin is over used and people do not understand the proper use of it. It is one thing if you know them but even if you know them you could be annoying them constantly doing the same thing every day and the person you may know may finally say enough is enough and you respond grow thicker skin who is really needing to grow thicker skin in this situation?

You see just because it is your sense of humor does not mean others share it nor should. I do think some people are oversensitive though at the same time people are also over aggressive about their so called humor.

@DragonBound I disagree and kinda agree with everything you've said. I know that sounds like a contradiction because it isn't actually possible to agree with something you're disagreeing with. What i mean, I know where you're coming from and certain things aren't nor shouldn't ever be acceptable. For example, it's one thing to jest around for a minute or 2, but another thing entirely to carry it on once the initial joke has run its course. By which time it usually turns into bullying or aggression of some sort. The way i look at it, those people usually lack the self awareness required to pull it of so instead they unwittingly become the joke.

Right but my other point still stands not everyone shares the same sense of humor and the other person should not be offended that they do not and should say well grow thicker skin that is very rude and wrong as they have no obligation to share it in the first place.

Gonna agree on the chest/node thing. Given extremely limited bag space , I'm not taking what I'm not after. Often that means I've left a purple item behind etc. Not just junk items. Don't have time always to run back to a bank or whatever to make space. Blame ZoS for that not me.

You know they have this handy feature where you can destroy an item. No blaming ZOS for your bad behavior. That is all on you.

Your time isn't any more precious than that of any other player.

Wrong. My time is precious to me. When you buy my games , you can tell me how to play. You're not agreeing isn't going to change my leaving stuff in chests , partially taking nodes or not. Guess you're just gonna have to deal with it.

And every other players time is precious to them. See how that works? You didn't buy their games for them so why should they go around picking up your garbage? I didn't expect to change your mind or the way you play the game. I just wanted to let you know your bad behavior is your bad behavior not because of ZOS other players or an evil little imp sitting on your shoulder. Your bad behavior is because you yourself have decided to act like an ...

    It's all on you.

There should be a system that when you activate a node while another player is close by you get flagged for PvP, gives the other player or anyone else a chance to kill you for it.

Again, way to suggest some awfull *** that would ruin the game for a lot of players, especially the new ones

More like ruin the game for the loot ninjas. New player learns the first time they get flagged to look around for other players and anybody running or botting nodes can get ganked. Gives me a chance to kill them, which is what those characters deserve. Doesn't ruin the game for this new player at all.

Is that how it works in your head? You can't see the scenario where bored max level players start ganking the newly started players at all?

While I applaud your promotion of etiquette, gamers aren't exactly known to have etiquette, especially in games. Please lower your expectations and you will be fine :) I am generally nice to people, but when it comes to chests or other things I already know no one's going to care whether or not you/I were/was there first. It's just MMO things.

That being said I notice a huge improvement in ESO community compared to most MMO's I've been playing. I'm new to ESO and despite the things you listed among other things, I feel good about the people of ESO. For the record best community was TSW (The Secret World) and worst community was WoW. EQ was pretty bad too now that I think about it, not at first but eventually.

Sorry it's never going to happen op. People will make excuses, ie not enough space, not your node, blah blah blah. They can say anything they want. Is it annoying? Yes, but trolls will be trolls. Not enough bank space or what ever, I call [snip], get your cheap [snip] eso plus. As far as it goes just ignore it and keep moving, or find the one doing it and get in front of him and do the same.

So, to all the "whoever gets to it first" - If you see someone standing ON the node, fighting the mob that spawns next to the node, have the courtesy to not steal the node from under their feet. And if that person confronts you about your bad behavior, don't expect an "oops sorry" to not make you look like the *** you are.

Specifically aimed at the dude who was just running around but used Bolt Escape to specifically steal 3 nodes like this today. Dude ran off after I called him on it and didn't accept "but I didn't meant to!" as an excuse.

They do it because they can. In real world, acting like a di...knob has consequences. In this fantasy, make believe world, there isn't. So of course players who want to compensate for something do everything they can to annoy and harash another player: it gives them a little bit of power they don't have in real life. It's almost basic psychology.

I really have to add, it goes both ways. I've seen players helping other players waaaay beyond what they would do in real life (in my opinion).

    - Please do not just go right in and start unlocking a chest or node when another is there first, but battling off an add or adds. Yes, there plenty of other chests and nodes; so what.. it is the principle of things. Go get your own damn chests or node elsewhere!
    - Please take all contents within a chest or node. Doesn't matter if spawn time is no different or not. Just take all the damn things from within already!
    - At a dolmen, please do not just stand there or just going to pinion after pinion waiting to press; especially when there are only two of you there. There is fighting going on with only one person fighting off the adds enough for two (or more.) Get in the fight, dammit, and quit worrying about the damn pinions!
    - At a dolmen or world boss, please do not just wait or hide nearby and then come in at the end when the boss's hp gets low just to get the few hits in needed for completion while another has been doing all the work.
    - Please farm your own mats and gold and quit trying to scam others for mats or panhandle for gold. (Panhandlers in this game. Really? Ha ha)
    - Please stop spamming duel after the first decline. Go to any capital city or Cyrodiil and you can duel all your heart out.
    - Please stop throwing mudballs at a dye station. Kids nowadays.. sheesh

Ahhh, what else. Ok, you guys can add on what other pet peeves you may have within this game that others are doing that may have gotten under your skins.

If I'm with one other person at a dolmen and they stop fighting, I walk out and stop fighting, too. Sometimes I bother to tell them not to just hit buttons, sometimes they figure it out, sometimes they just run away or die.

Never zone chat. Just right-click your chat tab, unclick Zone (and click on NPC, insane worm cult NPCs are nicer than zone chat and it's often easier to read than hear them over other noises). I haven't seen a lot of people abusing yell, say, or whisper for begging or other trash talk, so I haven't got around to muting those.
