But isn't that a glitch that people don't have control over? It's happened to me before
If it is a glitch, I'm unaware of it. It's not happened to me.

Perhaps it's doing something in combination other than just getting on the mount?

I had just assumed it was people calling their run emote while mounting.

Gonna agree on the chest/node thing. Given extremely limited bag space , I'm not taking what I'm not after. Often that means I've left a purple item behind etc. Not just junk items. Don't have time always to run back to a bank or whatever to make space. Blame ZoS for that not me.
Yes, think I only have seen two opened chests in the game and its pretty verified it don't affect re-spawn speed.
I use autoloot for speed, let you loot containers while running.

And you have the threefold rule, did undaunted delve, had another behind me we had shared some kills.
Final room some trash in the way, AoE see an chest and goes for it, stupid mob come in from side had to kill him and the other guy run ahead and ninja chest. I was fast in killing boss so he had to wait :)
Else I tend to do it slow on the delve bosses if other around.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

Ninja looters, scams, spam, etc. are part of all mmos. Nobody wants to touch the issue but there are too many players on one server. More players, more chances a ninja looter or some other bad behavior gets you.
I've been playing the game for about a month. Seen the ninja looters, seen the one trash item left in thief trove, etc. It's bad game design but still having fun only downside is sometimes it is impossible to do quests or delves with everyone zerg rushing the areas. Sometimes it is so bad they see me and the hit the speed rush button to race to the objective. No interest in teaming up at all, just an I want it all, me first attitude. All I end up doing is running to the end, if I'm lucky get one shot in and mission accomplished. Maybe ok if you are on your 10th alt, but not fun if you're just getting started in the game. Again, bad game design but it's not something exclusive to ESO either. Bottom line is cramming a massive amount of people somewhere = more chances you will get irritated at something. Just my feedback as a new player.

Wrong. My time is precious to me. When you buy my games , you can tell me how to play. You're not agreeing isn't going to change my leaving stuff in chests , partially taking nodes or not. Guess you're just gonna have to deal with it.

    - Please do not just go right in and start unlocking a chest or node when another is there first, but battling off an add or adds. Yes, there plenty of other chests and nodes; so what.. it is the principle of things. Go get your own damn chests or node elsewhere!
    - Please take all contents within a chest or node. Doesn't matter if spawn time is no different or not. Just take all the damn things from within already!
    - At a dolmen, please do not just stand there or just going to pinion after pinion waiting to press; especially when there are only two of you there. There is fighting going on with only one person fighting off the adds enough for two (or more.) Get in the fight, dammit, and quit worrying about the damn pinions!
    - At a dolmen or world boss, please do not just wait or hide nearby and then come in at the end when the boss's hp gets low just to get the few hits in needed for completion while another has been doing all the work.
    - Please farm your own mats and gold and quit trying to scam others for mats or panhandle for gold. (Panhandlers in this game. Really? Ha ha)
    - Please stop spamming duel after the first decline. Go to any capital city or Cyrodiil and you can duel all your heart out.
    - Please stop throwing mudballs at a dye station. Kids nowadays.. sheesh

Ahhh, what else. Ok, you guys can add on what other pet peeves you may have within this game that others are doing that may have gotten under your skins.

I have a few but you know it includes forums too...

Don't start considering stuff you have not gotten yet yours just because you have started along the path. Just because your bid on a house or an ebay auction went in before mine does not make me a jerk for winning the actual bid by the rules of the auction.
Show some sportsmanship. if you lose a race, dont start foruming about how the one who beat you is a jerk cuz they took your prize. there is so much treasure in this game that is directly and inexplicably keyed to combat - you beat the monster you get the loot and very little that is keyed to the win the "race mechanic" - first one to grab it (not get near it, but actually interact with it) gets it so when you do get beaten to some of the race-mechanic content do what real competitors do - smile, decide to try harder next time and move on without feeling the need to spam in game or run over to forum to complain about it. The treasure in the game that is owned by combat cannot be taken from you, so dont fret the other cases so much you lose sight that losing gracefully is a sign of character.

I think the only thing from your list OP that I'm guilty of is lingering by the pinion. The only reason I want it is because dealing with it fills my health/magicka/stamina bars when I'm almost dead. If I'm not almost dead, then I'm in the fight because that's where the fun is!

As far as chests and nodes go, I take it all or I take nothing. I don't mind coming across an alchemy or clothing node with just worms or crawlers because I have discovered the wonders of fishing! Also, if I reach a chest at the same time as someone else, I've got no problem sharing the loot, but when I ask the other person, I never get an answer.

I don't participate much in zone chat or any other chat really, but I do keep an eye on it. If someone needs something like heartwood or an alchemy supply, I'll send it to them if I have it. Whoever gets their first should get the chest or node, no one is purposely following you to take them from you, most of the time they happened to see it and are racist towards it you cannot blame the player for the competitiveness of getting open world loot.

There are some other things to consider, some peoples inventory gets full and cannot always take out all the contents in the chest.

Just because someone runs up at a boss towards the end does not mean they where hiding, tons of people are boss farming and just happen to barely make it.

And just turn off your invites for dueling.

100% agree with everything said here. I have no qualms about taking a chest from under a person's nose, if said person was unable to reach it in time. I agree with the sentiment behind your post, however, I don't agree with your thick skin comment. I've said it before, but some people really do need to grow a thicker skin. Everything negative that's ever been said to me on here or in-game has been water off a duck's back. Anything anyone can throw at me I've had worse said to me by people who actually mean something to me. If I've insulted someone on here or had a wee spat with them, it really has never been anything personal. I don't know them and 99% of them I forget 1min after having a little spat with them. They're probably good guys/gals. Just the internet makes us all think we're never wrong and only our opinion matters.

I fully understand why younger people may see things in a different light because social gaming and media in general is something that's been part of their growing up. None of this existed during my teens and during my 20's it was well and truly in its infancy and more people never used it than did, if that makes sense. I can fully separate one from the other. One is virtual and meaningless (to me anyway), whilst real life is real life.

All that said, both decency and manners cost nothing and I only wish some people out there realised acting the big bad gaming badass made them look ridiculous rather than the awesomely edgy individual they think they're being.

I hear you. This is common. I happen upon or get to a dolmen at the last moment, from time to time. However, I'm talking about when certain are there from the beginning, and you can see them hiding behind a brush or in hidden mode, in general. After running killing around the dolmen, you can clearly see that dude or dudette twitching or moving while in hidden mode. Then, he/she comes in when the boss is at low hp. Just irks you.. that's all.
    People can also simply afk.

I'm guilty of this sometimes. If I come in and dolmen isn't active (or we just closed one, so I need to wait for it to respawn), I sometimes honestly wait. But sometimes I want to grab a snack, go for a smoke or... you know... biology :D So yeah, I go into sneak mode behind some rocks and afk.

And yeah, sometimes I return when dolmen is on the final phase. So I go "OH SHI", sprint in and cast some DoTs :D

It's not malice. It's just... people have stuff to do, you know :)

Yes, I hear you, but why go afk at a dolmen. I usually go afk at the wayshrine near the dolmen. When the dolmen is up and fighting has been going on and you're still afk right at that dolmen (although, dolmen are not that hard for an experience toon) you're still screwing the dude sololy fighting all the adds. By you being there, hidden or afk, whatever, you're causing more adds to spawn at that dolmen. Just like those damn worthless rubber banders or bots, whatever you call them. They are just causing more to spawn. Ok, you're in a group where others are also fighting, yes, you're fine. However, when you're just fighting all the extras by yourself, than that other stagnant toon(s) are just screwing you.

To be honest, I've never noticed that much of a difference between one person and two people at a dolmen in terms of difficulty/spawn. And most people who go AFK at the dolmen intend to come back before it comes up but something comes up.

@jaysea, not at difficulty-wise. Technically, dolmens are not hard, in general, but when you're non-cp in the 10 and 20 levels, it is a bit more challenging. However, I still solo those from the single digit levels. When soloing, I believe there're 4 rounds or waves before the final boss. Don't quote me, but I think, with more than one, there are at least a couple more waves. I know when someone else is around nearby (but not visible at that dolmen) when there are more adds during each wave and a couple more rounds; whereas, than typically and noticeably usual for a single toon at a dolmen.

So, you can tell if someone has been booking it just to get to the dolmen and actually made it before the end. The numbers of adds or waves are not much different than when soloing it. Ok, I can buy it that someone may be afk and happens to return at the last moment.. but, when that someone is doing the same crap at every single dolmen in that map area (and there are three dolmens in every map area), I don't buy it. I run around shard hunting while leveling up all my new toons and hit every dolmens on the way. Usually the ones in the outskirts where you don't have others waiting around and rubber banders, are the ones I usually see this happening at; such as the ones in Shadowfen, for example.

Sure, pull them pinion if you need to refresh your pool.. but, I'm talking about the ones that doesn't fight but stand and wait at each pinion just waiting to pull it, while the other (like me) is fighting sololy and beating down all the adds; all the while that dude or dudette is just standing there at the pinion not fighting or wasting any stam, maj or hp.
It's all part of the game. You don't own nodes or chests. It doesn't matter if you saw it first. It only matters if you get it first. Everything you listed with the exception of mud balls boils down to you being a snowflake. Perhaps you should retreat to your liberal arts school for your safe place. It doesn't bother me if someone raced me and got to a node or chest first.. fine, take it. It is that one when you see that chest or node and clearly from your wide-screen, there is no one else around. Then, you get there and still no one is around, but the adds guarding it. You then proceed to fight off the adds, only to see some dude or dudette unlocking that chest or running up to take that node, just right after or during your fighting. I don't buy that.. anyone can clearly see someone else is already there and fighting off those adds. When I'm on the latter, I don't race up and sneak in to take it. If I see that someone may be having trouble fighting those adds, I'll jump in and help, then I will go away and let him or her take that add or node. That is etiquette and courtesy.

Sure, again, this is just a game and all these things that irk me and others have been happening since probable day one of this game, at least for the year or so I have been playing. We all know people are people, and they are the way they are and how they play; craps like these are not going to change. Ok, fine, ignore it.. move on, but been doing that every time I've been playing for the past year. There comes a time when you have to say something; whether it will affect change or not.

I actually like when people leave stuff like worms and that crappy staff in chests and nodes. I pick up just about everything all the time. 200 worms will always sell for a reasonable amount of gold and that staff will sell to a vender so its all found $$ to me.
I guess i look at it like this, i don't sub so i have inventory issues anyway so if you need that chest or node that bad have at it bro. There will always be more down the road for me to loot.
There are other worlds than these.

I like being kind to my fellow players because maybe some day I'll need something and someone will be kind to me in return.

In the real world, just like the game world you're not always going to get what you want. Accept that and stop trying to force your version of morality on others.

Yes, yes.. and awesome, good and helpful citizen like you is continuously contributing to better the experience for others. Crawl back in your cave or whatever rock you came from under. Damn stupid trolling; every damn posts and threads. You can only ignore so many and then have to fight back.

Just as in real life, there are certain things that get under your skin. It doesn't matter what people will say about having thick skin; "no one" truly has thick skin and can withstand and tolerate everything. So, playing in ESO has the same effects as real life outside of the game. You have the good helpful Eagle Scouts, team players, and qualities of decent everyday people, then there are also those scammers, cons, thieves/crooks, shammers and not so decent qualities of people. Whatever.. yes, it is just a game, but please.. this is a MMO (at least, considered to be) with other "real" people playing; real people with real emotions and tolerant levels. I'm not talking about zone text chats here where you can easily ignore or turn off. I'm talking about having some etiquette within this game and try to be somewhat considerate to other people/players. I realized I have some pet peeves within this game. Here goes:

I clearly expressed my opinions before on this matter and do not feel like dealing with another hate defender coming into to defend with some childish justification, but I would like to point out a few flaws with some of these pet peeves I could not agree more on most.

My friend again this applies to people simply running up and getting it, not everyone realizes you are fighting adds that where guardian the area, but yes I know what you mean.

The issue is growing thicker skin is over used and people do not understand the proper use of it. It is one thing if you know them but even if you know them you could be annoying them constantly doing the same thing every day and the person you may know may finally say enough is enough and you respond grow thicker skin who is really needing to grow thicker skin in this situation?

You see just because it is your sense of humor does not mean others share it nor should. I do think some people are oversensitive though at the same time people are also over aggressive about their so called humor.

    hahaha!!!

    nope.

If you get your feelings hurt in ESO, just log off, go do something else until all those bad people who are really really mean to you have left.

Trust me, in the internet, no one cares if you scream. And people will be jerks too. As long as they keep to the Zenimax code of conduct for the game, they can do as they please.

Personally, I'll gladly loot any leftovers in chests. Whether its worms or some generic gear, I'll find a use for it.

I've never kept track over who arrives " late" to a dolmen, as I'm too busy killing.

Mudballs are annoying, but I hardly see them now.

And I turn off duel requests.

Gonna agree on the chest/node thing. Given extremely limited bag space , I'm not taking what I'm not after. Often that means I've left a purple item behind etc. Not just junk items. Don't have time always to run back to a bank or whatever to make space. Blame ZoS for that not me.

Ummmm delete unwanted items? You don't have to run anywhere. If you was going to leave it then it shouldn't hurt to delete it. So no that would definitely be on you. And zos added craft bags and will soon be doubling bank space for eso+, so they have provided options for those who wish to have them.

As far as people jacking nodes, it is nobodies until they have it in their bag. You had one part right, it is a mmo. As such people have different opinions and attitudes and are free to play however THEY want, so long as they play within the rules.

@DragonBound I disagree and kinda agree with everything you've said. I know that sounds like a contradiction because it isn't actually possible to agree with something you're disagreeing with. What i mean, I know where you're coming from and certain things aren't nor shouldn't ever be acceptable. For example, it's one thing to jest around for a minute or 2, but another thing entirely to carry it on once the initial joke has run its course. By which time it usually turns into bullying or aggression of some sort. The way i look at it, those people usually lack the self awareness required to pull it of so instead they unwittingly become the joke.
