Have done this. But not due to hiding, just due to riding up at that point & joining in as doing Fighter's Guild writ and only have limited time to play so can't always wait for it to respawn. Apologies if it annoys people but I do at least come in all guns blazing, so to speak.
People can also simply afk.GreenhaloX wrote: »I hear you. This is common. I happen upon or get to a dolmen at the last moment, from time to time. However, I'm talking about when certain are there from the beginning, and you can see them hiding behind a brush or in hidden mode, in general. After running killing around the dolmen, you can clearly see that dude or dudette twitching or moving while in hidden mode. Then, he/she comes in when the boss is at low hp. Just irks you.. that's all.

I'm guilty of this sometimes. If I come in and dolmen isn't active (or we just closed one, so I need to wait for it to respawn), I sometimes honestly wait. But sometimes I want to grab a snack, go for a smoke or... you know... biologySo yeah, I go into sneak mode behind some rocks and afk.
And yeah, sometimes I return when dolmen is on the final phase. So I go "OH SHI", sprint in and cast some DoTs

If they're just waiting at the pinion and not fighting, I agree with you. If there are only two people, though, and they're fighting like mad AND pressing pinions at the same time, then that's a good thing. The pinions end the fights sooner, and when all four are down, it kills off the remaining daedra.GreenhaloX wrote: »- At a dolmen, please do not just stand there or just going to pinion after pinion waiting to press; especially when there are only two of you there. That's what happens most of the time. I've never actually seen anyone hide until the last part of a dolmen fight. Mostly it's just people hearing the fight and then running up to it.Hallothiel wrote: »Re: coming in near the end of a dolmen.

I find it comical how many things in this game irk me, though they shouldn't. People should enjoy the game, regardless if it irks me, because to them, they don't see these as issues. I simply get miffed, then move on and quickly forget about it.
But I must share my list, because it'll change nothing, but it'll help me vent.
- People who stand in front of doors, especially to banks
- People who "run" on their mounts while riding them. It looks stoopid.
- Going for an enchanting node only to find a "Ta" remaining. Errrrrgg. Grab it, then destroy it if you're "low" on bag space.
- Going for a node only to have someone zip by me to get to it first. To me, this is actually worse than someone grabbing a node while I'm dealing with the trash, because the other knows I'm going for the node. There's no guarantee the person fighting the trash was doing so to get to the node.
- Players who constantly cast their spells in cities, forcing my weapon to be drawn. I've a few choice words for these people, but posting them here gets me banned. Use your imagination. Duelers, take your fight somewhere else.
- Trying to break into a safebox "guarded" by a merchant, but a player interacts with them which seems like forever, preventing the merchant from moving so I can steal their loot.
- Public dungeon zergers who intentionally run around taking out bosses in 2 hits while everyone else has to wait for a respawn (which can take up to 10 minutes)
But the worst, absolutely most detested thing I come across in the game are the people who crunch on their potato chips while in area chat. The mute button is there for a reason.
Runner-up: do us all a favor and put the game down and take care of your screaming kid, which actually is an issue which is problematic on so many levels.

Yes, I hear you, but why go afk at a dolmen. I usually go afk at the wayshrine near the dolmen. When the dolmen is up and fighting has been going on and you're still afk right at that dolmen (although, dolmen are not that hard for an experience toon) you're still screwing the dude sololy fighting all the adds. By you being there, hidden or afk, whatever, you're causing more adds to spawn at that dolmen. Just like those damn worthless rubber banders or bots, whatever you call them. They are just causing more to spawn. Ok, you're in a group where others are also fighting, yes, you're fine. However, when you're just fighting all the extras by yourself, than that other stagnant toon(s) are just screwing you.
It depends on distanceGreenhaloX wrote: »When the dolmen is up and fighting has been going on and you're still afk right at that dolmen (although, dolmen are not that hard for an experience toon) you're still screwing the dude sololy fighting all the adds.
@GreenhaloX , If it's a small group, odds are better than not that at least something is going to aggro to you, wherever you are. It's as simple as a light attack. It's faster to close then pinion when it opens than to have to chase them after everything's down.SydneyGrey wrote: »If they're just waiting at the pinion and not fighting, I agree with you. If there are a lot of people at the dolmen, though, then people shouldn't press the pinions at all until the daedra are dead, in my opinion, because people might be there to farm experience. If there are only two people, though, then pressing the pinions is a good thing. So it depends completely on how many people are there, and whether the person doing the pinions is being a lazy sot about fighting.

I just want to point out that this game force spawns the nodes u mention. If u were to loot all the items and kept ur eyes open, u will force spawn another chest/resource node in the immidiate vicinity.
So in effect ur not only nerfing others, but nerfing urself too.
