✭✭✭✭✭I may make my magicka-based characters vampires again, if I begin to notice that sustaining is incredibly demanding. If I notice that things aren't as bad as things are made out to be, then I won't. It all depends.1 -

You already do, if you're not in Stage 1. Stage 2 gives you increased stamina and magicka regen (with the passive), and Stage 3 gives you damage resist at low health (with the passive), though that one's of dubious value.0 -
Lavennin✭✭✭Don't care about the regen. Don't care about the crouch speed increase even. New player, already a vampire, disappointed because: it doesn't feel like I'm playing a vampire.
Instead of a brutal bite, I got red magical beam energy leech. No matter how much blood is on screen, it's silly, cartoonish and uninspiring.
And as a stage 4 vampire I can walk around in cities just fine. That's some major immersion breaking.
It just feels that ESO vampire is no more than a skill line that gives you some okay abilities and bonuses with its watered down animation and mechanics. It feels...lacking.
If there's going to be an improvement, I certainly hope it's less about balance and more about the aesthetics, roleplaying, and lore (story quest). It's not a class, and everyone can get it, so why does the dev focus on how many bonuses it gives the player, combat-wise?Edited by Lavennin on April 26, 2017 5:57AM5 -

Vampirism is used more for benefits and not really for roleplaying purposes. vampirism would be dope if it had a vampire morph in pve areas

✭✭✭✭I'm open to it. My principal dungeon characters will always wear aesthetically mismatched set gear, so they'll also always wear costumes, so appearance isn't a consideration one way or the other.
In fact, I recently leveled a Dunmer magblade with the intention of playing her as a criminal. I'm not sure whether that's a great idea even if she's a vampire. I'm sure it's a terrible idea without vampirism.
(My current main criminal is a Bosmer Stamblade wearing Night Terror & Night Silence.)0 -

✭✭All vamps, all the time. Have a whole bordello of 'em. And one token werewolf, just for giggles. They point and laugh at him then chase him out of the room with bat swarms.
But that undeath passive, the siphon/ ultimate, the sneak bonus and batswarm...How can you not? The fire damage is trivial with CP allocation (which should always be set in reductions in the orange tree regardless of class/ role). You can even feed before doing Cyro or a fire-based dungeon, but that ruins the passives and I've never found it necessary.Edited by Peekachu99 on April 26, 2017 2:29PM0 -
