Templar Build

Hey y'all. I have a question about armor sets for a Templar I haven't played ESO for a bit but got back into it recently. I have a Breton Templar (183) in the Daggerfall Covenant built for high heals. I made it when the game dropped and went with Heavy Armor to make up for squishiness and have a 2handed sword because I felt that with my high healing that it didn't matter what weapon I used. Should I start using healing staffs too or light/medium armor for different bonuses that complement a magic user? I currently have a amor set of Law of Julianos.

If you play as healer, restoration staff has better passives then 2h sword. Also Julianos is a dps set, if you want to play healer, try getting spell power cure set with worm set, farmed in wgt and vom.

I am not too sure on the heavy armor for main healer type character high end. Light armor seems the best for any magicka user not expecting to tank much/long.

Resto staff definitely will offer some fine skill options you should look into depending on play style. A bow is fun for some dps when heals aren't too needed. But with high magicka, probably benefit more from the staffs than a bow.

If you look over the pts notes.... a healer wearing heavy amour will be a bad idea. Assuming you aren't pvp, then put some points into bastion while sloting light amour skill and call yourself good.

Most healers do 7 light or 6 light and 1 shoulder piece.

Healing staff front bar lightning destro staff back bar.
Wear 5 worm 5 SPC 1 Monster (or off staff if you cant get the one you need for worms or SPC)

You want the resto staff for the passives, healing springs and rapid regen.
You want the destro staff for wall of elements and sometimes ele drain, although radiant aura is better if you already have a tank running puncture.

If you are on xbox NA hit me up and I can help you with a build

Am going to try 1 Chokethorn. 1 Kena 5 x Alteration mastery 4/5 x Seducer (a heavy 5x impen set and a LA pve set) and see how wet noodle I am. Pretty damp I suspect but im curious If ill be found wanting for resources give that Ill have ~2k regen and a constant 8% cost reduction (Resto/destro front bar) upto 14% if I DW or S&B back bar. (any LA will add this 'base' reduction.

    shrug

I'd say learning the game is the honey moon period, so enjoy it. :)
