45 minutes penalty from Group Finder? Did I miss something?

Sorry to say, but it feels like the responsible for Group Finder developer is sabotaging your game, ZoS. Is he under protection? Relative of company owner? That would explain a lot of what community experinced with Group Finder since Homestead launch.

O.O Who the **** even runs a dungeon for 45 minutes?! We did both daily today in 30 minutes only O.O If we wanted to queue each time does it mean we would have to wait half hour in between? What the actuall **** ?

Wow... A 45min. penalty... I honestly can't say that I've seen such a long penalty from ESO's activity finder before. My guess is that: You've left too many groups, been kicked from too many groups, or the game is bugging out on you.

Even in Overwatch, the longest penalty I've seen for a leaver is like 30mims. This was for leaving too many competitive games in progress. In quickplay, if you keep leaving you get 75% of your received XP reduced. And you're essentially forced to play a certain amount of games (the penalty comes in games of 4), before you're allowed to receive your normal amount of XP again.

ZOS is really serious on this activity finder punishment thing it seems.

Actually I only left one ICP dungeon after 14:30 minutes of play. On leaving the clock was showing 30 seconds left for next dungeon search. When I ported back to the city it jumped to 45 minutes.

I remember in FFXIV, from patch 2.0 - 2.5, the penalty for leaving any instance early was a nice 45 minute penalty, which wasn't like ESO's penalty in that it starts as soon as the dungeon starts but after you leave, meaning all the time wasted in the dungeon PLUS another 45 minutes on top of it.

Good times. Only ever took that penalty once; God if it wasn't the most painful hour+ long waste of time I'd ever experienced but it was totally worth it in my eyes as my gear was totally trashed and my repair bill was up to 20k after leaving.

Dungeon finder has been very inconsistent lately and it's normal behavior is to first teleport you to dungeon, then teleport you back (with a timer) leaving you to travel manually back to the dungeon. Surprised there is no fix for it yet.

It's one of the many Finder bugs introduced with Homestead. I had 60 minute timers on two occasions.

The Looking For Group is an issue since the start of ESO, not since patch or DLC X. Sometimes I saw improvements, but it mostly degrades.

This has happened to me. The group finder pops and then does it a couple more times and then frags the group. You get stuck with multiple penalties.

I doubt that. The less players the game has, the less revenue ZOS can generate. Plus, I don't think ZOS dislikes its player base enough to pull a stunt like that. While we may demonized ZOS employees (I myself am even guilty of this), I really do think that they have our best of interest as a whole in mind.

Take @ZOS_GinaBruno for an example. She has helped me out on more things than I can imagine, and is always going above and beyond what is asked of her to help out people on numerous occasions. As have the moderation of this staff. There are numerous things that they could've easily banned people over, but rather do so — they give chance after chance. See what I mean? How many other sites can you say are that loving of their players?

I really think it's just a bug that's effecting OP, and all others who are experiencing the 45min. wait. I could very well indeed be wrong, but only ZOS knows. You know?
