Should Heavy Attacks have a regen buff?

Hello,

My apologies if this has been proposed before.

What I am thinking is adding a small regen buff similar to minor heroism for heavy attacks. Lower the direct return a bit but add a small resource return over time. I feel this could alleviate the fears of the 'Heavy Attacks Online' folks while still keeping the spirit of the patch to require heavies for resources. Well timed heavies would still allow you to use your spamables, just not quite as much.

    Fully charged Heavy Attacks already restore resources based on the weapon used.
    (Math before coffee, except after 3, is not for me)

    I know that. What I am proposing would ba an additional over time return to make them not become the only spammable capable of use.

    A better idea would be to give light attacks a regen also. proportionately smaller than fully charged heavy but some nevertheless.

    Agreed. This will literally force players to use heavy attacks over light attacks even though the game is shifting towards a heavy attack meta already. No one would be using light attacks; only on burn phases or in PVP where your sustain will be okay.

    Thanks for the responses and I can see your points. And I agree with them now that it's been pointed out.

    I don't think lights should return base amounts though. Maybe put the over time regen on lights? Make you light attack every couple seconds to keep it up? Then heavy if you need a burst of regen.

    Obviously wouldn't help immensely, just trying to add something to the dull LA/HA that they want us to use.

    Heavy attacks probably need to do less damage as well to avoid nothing but heavy attack rotations trumping or being on par with more complex skill rotations.
