Just ran WGT with a CP600 DPS, and he's never done WGT. Double XP ruin the game!

Besides an occasional dungeon I usually do Cyrodiil. Despite playing 3 years, I have never done wgt. I guess just saying something like double xp ruins game is just something to take your frustrations out on?

Hmph. I've got over 400 CP, 8 level 50 chars, a second account with 1 level 50 CP 90, and have been playing since early beta. And I've never finished WGT. I *have* attempted it with my usual weekly group, twice -- we simply don't have the gear or knowledge to do the thing, and since we almost never group with others we're learning all the mechanics the hard way - trial and error.

Honestly, it's the OP's attitude towards people who haven't learned everything *they* have learned that discourages me from stepping outside our usual weekly group -- So what if they didn't know those mechanics? It's the job of experienced players to *educate* less experienced players when that kind of situation comes up?

Don't have time to educate? Then perhaps you're choosing the wrong people to run with -- go find a guild which shares that attitude and don't bother the rest of us with it.

I won't be doing a single dungeon until I am cp600 for the simple reason that I am scared to group, what with people being kicked out of normal dungeons for having 528CP and so on, because some players have really really high standards.

Are you STILL on about this? What is this thread number 4 or 5? Just give it a rest you high horse riding ***. CP SHOULD NEVER AND HAVE NEVER BEEN A WAY TO DETERMINE SKILL, STOP THINKING IT DOES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you can't teach new players how to do a dungeon they have not done before, THEN DON'T JOIN PUGS AND DO YOUR DUNGEONS WITH YOUR FRIENDS OR GUILDIES! How is this so fricking hard to understand? Not everyone gets all mechanics their first time, if you can't deal with that then don't do PUG's!

I'm 400CP or so and just stared doing dungeons. Doesn't matter if you're 50CP or 600CP, it's hilarious how other players awesome everyone on the dungeon run has done it before.

I explain it's my first time here...after the initial shock and amazement, most of the players give the boss strategy.

Ive got 711 CP and I'm rubbish. I mainly just do the daily's and a bit of farming. I have a tank I do the odd dungeon with but not the hard ones or trials. So I won't be ruining your game princess.

600 CP or not, why do you think everybody should already done everything if high level? There are more than 90% of CP 500+ who never ever did a vMA or any trial at all. Please, don't judge ppl by cp levels.

    ^ This.

CP600 here who has never done any of the IC dungeons or any of the trials. I have zero desire to touch the trials at all and just haven't gotten around to poking the IC dungeons despite having been in this game for nearly 2 years.

I'm CP 800, my friends CP 700 and 650ish all of us having with 100% veteran trial completions decided a few days ago to do pledges for the anniversary boxes. We ended up in veteran Tempest Island and none of us knew the mechanics to the final boss. We spent longer there trying to figure it out than we usually do on Rakkhat in vmol. In the end we managed, some googling was involved, we laughed at ourselves and the absurdity of the situation, had a fun evening and learnt something new.

Should have ran WGT when it first came out, back then it was actually hard.

Now its nerfed to oblivion, still have no idea why many players pug it instead of with friends or guildies who have basic knowledge of the task at hand, or if not, then it is ok, cos you are part of a team, and everyone should be there for each other.

<-- CP 700 NEVER run any dungeons
This one is curious, why not?
The normal ones are easy and give skill points.

I actually like doing normal dungeons with low dps players as healer, its an good training match you can experiment with stuff. You can not do that in an hard veteran dungeon where main focus is keeping all alive, nor in an speed run where you burn trough anything.

Because I dislike jerks like OP.

I did get 50 last night with a guild group in two dungeons though. We brought a lvl 9. To ICP.

    Was fun.

Just cause he never ran wgt doesn't mean anything, maybe he just bought that DLC. Maybe he just play PvP. There could be many other reasons as to why one have not ran wgt yet.

I'm at cp 640 or so and never ran it because I don't own IC. If I did buy it I'd hate to run it with a *** that doesn't teach me the mechanics and get pissed if I'm trying to figure it out mid fight.

You know what - a 600cp beta player can be a noob too!

I'm playing this game since beta, and I did my first WGT run last week.

Just never assume, always ask if everybody knows the mechanics. And explain it nicely as someone explained it to you back in the past.

Did you tell him he needed to kill the portals? You can get to come 600 without playing WGT easy, whether he stuck to pvp, questing, achievements etc. I myself have not played WGT yet and don't plan to as it's some pretty hard content and rather wait until I'm a higher cp. Remember everyone has a first time doing everything in the game including yourself. How would you feel if someone put you in blast your very first time playing WGT without telling you what to do? Communication is key in this game. Also double XP is their to help mend the gap from players whove been playing the game since it's release and not everyone has had that opportunity. I can assure you it still takes a good amount of time to reach cp 600 even with cpl weeks of double xp here and there. Who knows maybe he didn't even take advantage of the double XP how would we know? Lol

See it's odd as I'm with you double XP and grinding does ruin the game in that loads of max CP people about now who aren't that strong. It used to be a noticable difference.

HOWEVER CP means nothing to the content you enjoy. I've never done Vet WGT. I only do Vets with my real life buddies and we haven't got round to it yet. Mainly as we bought the kena helm and guildors needed other ones first.

So don't judge people just because they have enjoyed other content thst they could be way better than you at!!!

So, actually the original poster is saying he's the real noob here. He took on a team mate, went to one of the toughest dungeons in-game, and at no point communicated with the team or checked that everyone knew what they were doing. It sounds like no help was offered either, and now we're blaming double XP (random AF) and calling the team mate names.

At CP600, the other guy is no noob. It took many hours to get there. But he had no experience of WGT - like a great many people.

So, original poster, I name you the worst kind of elitist, *** gamer. You are the reason I hardly run Undaunted dailies any more.

Maybe it was a PvPer, maybe it was a soloer, maybe he/she just never did WGT because he/she thought it involved pvp because of its location.

Either way... communication goes a long way. What is the worst you lost?

Its not like we are playing classic Everquest and your corpse is stuck at the bottom of a dungeon and you just deleveled back to 49.

Last week I did group too for nornal prison, and one of the tanks was cp600.
I swear I had less aggro in maelstrom arena, it was that bad. We couldnt finish the dungeon. Its sad af.

This is funny. Just take a look at your friends achievement list and you can see how different people play.

From my friends list ... 6 600 CP people. One with almost 300 vet dungeons done, I have a grand total of 19. That friend is roughly 0-50 lifetime in duels against me. Another friend of mine has almost no achievements but 1.4 million career telvar stones which was nearly 5 times the next highest guy on my list. I have 29k PVP kills and have found 1/4th the skyshards as another buddy.

There are millions of different ways to play this game. Double XP has nothing to do with it, and not knowing the boss mechanics of a dungeon in no way means you're a noob. For all you know the guy who "didn't know how to close the portals" is one of the best players in the world.

At CP 702, I think twice before going into here.

    First boss

Often you nobody discussed how you get people unlocked. If someone doesn't have force lock passive they could end up in there way too long. As such people with this passive should go save others.

    Second Boss

Often people will get too close to the shield boss and get one shotted. Tank should move this boss to the side away from the healer mob. Tank needs to mostly self substain too.

    Third Boss

God help you ...so much can go wrong. In fact hardmode on final boss is easier than this boss. First if healer or dps don't have a dps alterative then you have the shift pinions properly.

    * ON lesser systems, the portals lag so badly that it's impossible to get to them without some mobs coming in.

    Final boss

Make sure you do not stand on spot where the lighting wave will start. Also during the lighting wave move as a unit or dps will die if too far from healer or shielder. Make sure you roll or dodge before the lighting streaks double cross teamselves.

P.S it's not anyone failed it's we failed.

When you first ran WGT had you done it before? Yes I know its a stupid question.... ;)

Everyone has to do content for the first time at some point! I've been in the game 2 years and there is still content I have yet to do. No doubt that when I first attempt to go through certain content I'll die until I learn the mechanics of said content. That's just natural.

My advice, not an attack or bait, just advice... Perhaps your gaming life might be improved if you learn to be more helpful and patient towards other players. I personally find that a lot more rewarding. You also make more friends ;)
