Refund

I've recently purchased a large amount of crowns in the expectation of buying two of the island homes for my wife and I. The game I had purchased these for seems to be disappearing though. How do I refund crowns through the online store? I would prefer to speak one on one with customer service... but following all the steps through the support link brought me here. Would anyone with experience in this matter be able to direct me to where I need to go?

Ask CS. Posting it here in the forums really does nothing unless you really just want to complain for the sake of complaining.

How do I ask CS? The drop down menu for refund only gives the forum options. There is no way to live chat?

Nope. Submit a ticket and do not have high expectations since I do not think your reasoning will be considered justification. Just my thought on the matter. Still worth submitting a ticket.

They have made it really, REALLY hard to find the support email option, for some reason.

Basically you have to go to support at the top and find the option to contact support via email. It may be burried under survey options for auto-answers, I honestly can't remember where I found it now.

You could also try going to the account section and checking the support link you find from that part of the web page. I am not sure if the options are the same if you access Support from there.

    Best of luck.

The overall tone is pretty disgusting... I get it, you guys *** win. Awesome Fanboys! This isn't a complain, or DOOM AND GLOOM. This is me wishing to peacefully extricate myself from the game and community while suffering minimal personal loss. There is no reason to be rude or hyperbolic just because not everyone agrees with the direction this game is taking. I asked a simple question, looking for a simple answer. Thank you.

I only see one person being "rude and hyperbolic" here.

The game you purchased the crowns for isn't disappearing, but if you want to pursue such a claim then you can only do so by contacting CS. That's all you're being told, and it's sound advice. Posting such claims on the forum isn't going to get you your crowns back, not that contacting CS will necessarily do so either.

The issue, was that being logged into the website and forums does not mean you're logged into the support section. It's a separate website and requires its own log in. Was able to navigate after figuring it out, though still a complete PITA. Thank you though for giving me an idea of where to look, was helpful.

Sorry you feel that way. I was just stating reality since nothing in the OP would have brought you any help from Zos.

I did not find reason to candy coat it, but as I said, put in a ticket. It is always best to get them a chance rather than to not act.

Personally, in the end I think you and your wife will continue to enjoy the game. We will all have to adjust some, but I doubt the current state of the PTS is what will go live. I expect some changes will be made and it is part of the reason for the testing and maybe even why some of it is private for those that have provided feedback previously.

Quoting Giles, was an accident. I only meant to quote wrecking blow. I'm sorry about that. I think you're right too, I doubt I will get much headway in a refund either, but was curious if anyone else might have been succesful. And to answer you, yes... very much yes this game is disappearing for me. Granted I only play a very small niche sub section of this game, but it very much so is about to fold. There is no arguing this. When an entire guild switches focus from talking about how to clear the new content to "what should we play next" the game is gone for me. Sad but true, I'm only being pragmatic.

I'm very optimistic about the future. And don't get me wrong, I'm still going to buy Morrowind, and still going to play the *** out that warden class because I do love this game. But having played this a long time, from experience, this game tends to have huge swings. I've watched and helped build multiple 500 Goliath member guilds only to watch them fold into nothingness a few times now as the game does tend to fundamentally change every few months. To enjoy end game play the sub and crowns were warranted, but I'm seeing morrowind is more going to be more small time questing and adventuring and for that, sub and crowns aren't needed.

Because fanbois will attack anything that threatens their candy land existence. But I doubt Zos will refund your crowns. They are in make as much as possible of the people who only play part of the game. The community has cycled so much and the churn is so high they are not putting time and money into enriching game systems . Only regurgitation of the leveling experience while pumping out cosmetics to prey on the gullible

Or maybe they realized that longevity in all but impossible to create in this Genre of gaming. This may have been their plan from day one. We are not in the boardroom to hear the plan and they are under no obligation to present it to us.

We are along for the ride. How long you pay for that ride is up to you. Some jump ship and some ride till the wheels fall off. That doesn't make either one of them wrong.

I've never been to these main forums honestly, though I've always followed the PTS forums. So I can't say I remember anything like that, though I do remember that moment being the first time I watched an entire guild crumble, as I said in my previous post I've seen this many times before.

And no, the sky is not following, this game is fueled by name recognition and solo players to such an incredible extent every major guild can disband and dissolve over night and it will keep chugging. So to everyone worried about the game itself folding, don't. It's only specific parts that surge and lapse in popularity.

Because much of the content in an MMORPG is group based. Thus no group, no content. That's why it matters.

For every guild that crumbles 2 take its place. Are they the same? Perhaps not. But when one friend goes, make new ones.

You not getting refund on crowns. It's highly unlikely. But if you want to pursue this just submit a CS ticket and just wait for a response. Ask to get a hold of Management. Management will contact you. Or you can call up Zos headquarters...Look it up online...And ask the receptionist to transfer you to ESO customer support. She will transfer you but it will be to answering machine where you will leave a message and customer support (not management) will give you a ring back.

This is what I did with a completely different matter and was able to TALK (not email) to customer service and eventually management to get my matter resolved.

You got crowns on sell. I would just shrug it off and move on. Heck you might come back to game sometime in future and you will have crowns to spend.
