How Many Of You Have Decided to Stop Playing ESO?
In the last few weeks I have had many friends from my guilds say they are quitting the game, that they have not enjoyed playing for a long time now. I just wanted to make a post to see how many others feel the same way. I personally have been an avid player since launch on PS4 but have not been an active player for about a month now. If you have decided to stop playing is it because of the changes that are coming with Morrowind, or is there another reason you don't want to play anymore. So lets hear it, are you sticking around for Morrowind or are you done with ESO?

Considering it but not certain yet. I'm undecided whether I want to wait for Morrowind.
If I do decide to stop playing ESO, I may move on to Guild Wars 2.3 -

Now I have much less fear of veteran dungeons.Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.***Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis6 -

With that said, I've been around since console launch and have already quit and come back a handful of times since then. I have no problem taking an 'extended break' from this game if I feel the changes are garbage.

Moderation is the key - you can't help but burn out on something if you do it ALL DAY EVERY DAY.
It's not the game burning people out, its people burning themselves out.14 -

Don't play it on Vita. The Vita version is terrible.

✭✭I've pretty much stopped playing. Haven't bothered signing in for a few days now. I've lost all joy of playing this game after reading through the PTS patch notes and knowing what's coming.
I also cancelled my pre-order of the Physical CE Morrowind.Far too many characters to list any more.12 -

I'm still here waiting for Morrowind. Don't have much reason to play till it comes out though, considering that the to-do list currently consists of grinding for gear and experience until I die.

Bladorthin✭✭✭Without seeing the final result, quitting prematurely is a knee-jerk reaction. That being said, if the regen nerfs stay in their current or only a "slightly" revised form, It's pretty likely I'll be spending the majority of my time elsewhere, at least until it is changed back. I don't want the game to turn into Light Attack-Like Attack-Heavy Attack online, which is where it looks like the game is going.4 -

jaye63✭✭✭✭I paid a sub that runs out in June so Im going to get my money's worth but I can tell you that if they plan on nerfing all calsses except Warden like they stated in the notes, Im out. I've had enough of working to perfect a charater and having the basics of that character ripped out making me have to rebuild it. And in this case it would be TEN characters. And if I go, I wont be back... and that means my wallet goes. <... catch that last part Zos?4 -

It feels like a second job grinding gear just to play content and seeing how little these developers care about their player base is enough for me to quit altogether. There are so many ganes out there and ESO really isn't that good in comparison.7

It's not the same group of people leaving either, meaning its not just pvp or pve players. It is a mix of both groups. The guild I am an officer in has some of the highest ranked PVE players on PS4 NA and some of the most respected players from the PVP community with 400 plus active members and so many people have said they are done and will not be returning to try Morrowind. A lot of said the zenimax has been making all of the wrong changes, and things rarely get fixed.5

Since months ago Im just burning the enlightment in 10 minutes and logging out. I cancelled my sub when I saw the Morrowind changes. I dont like at all the direction the game is going since b2p announcement. This last changes we will see in Morrowind are really starting to make me think about quitting.
I dont really like how is it all going and I understand why 3 of the guilds I was in are a desert now and disbanded. Understandable that people like Deltia is leaving too after Morrowind.
Cosmetics all around,stupid decisions,TES name being corrupted by just money. No more intention than transform all this in a p2w game.
I understand this is all about money but hey...this has gone too far from ZOS IMO and Im not gonna pay to play this kind of game ESO is gonna be now.

Borderlands 2 is one of the best games lol. Love it.
I am starting to feel burnt out. Been playing divinity original sin co op, FUNNN!!! And gonna finally play Witcher ౩ and finish fallout lol.
ESO is a great game but the grinds are crippling and the upcoming homogenization of the abilities and skills mean it's a good time to peace out for a good while. I mean I still haven't gotten a decent lich staff or rattlecage sword lol. And I'm toooo much of a min-maxer to go in with a charged resto or 3 light 4 heavy lol. It just takes too long to get gear to have fun in PvP, and the content itself has stayed the same since thieves guild, through homestead, little story quests barely added anything I'll just finish up quests and disappear, and with only one trial coming in it's just sooooo mehhh.
I'mma turn casual for a good while, and see what new things come throughout the year and next year, but the cost of Morrowind for just a trial and bg's is meh. I'll at least cancel sub as it's all turned mehhh.1 -

✭✭I've never understood quitting a game over a nerf. The mechanics are still solid and the game is still fun to play, it might be more challenging to manage resources but OH NO THE GAME IS MORE CHALLENGING!
I think it's a fault in mindset, like everyone takes nerfs personally like it's an attack on their very self.
THAT BEING SAID! Quitting a game in protest is perfectly valid if it is something you feel that strongly about. I really don't get quitting the game on the eve of exciting new content over balance changes and nerfs but whatever.
