No, I'm saying that they have to fix the way we get "the end game gear" and the RNG logic behind it before making all content harder.

Craft Julianos. It's not that hard.
Seducer is Craftable, so is willow's path/TBS/NMG/Hundings/Julianos. Lich/engineguardian/bone pirate/BSW** are sets that will be easier to grind...you get what I'm saying? Those are easy to get, now let's talk about VDSA/VMA/VetTrials(Gold Jewelry?) Yup, yesterday I got two daggers sharpened in one chest from VMA(I am freeeee). I was disgusted.....=)))) Next patch everything will be much more harder and the route Zos is taking will be; if you want the BIS gear you better be about that grind life+be on your game(set wise/skill). I like it, but I'm biased as well. I have everything but moondancer/alkosh/TFS/vma 2h defending/and master resto in a good trait. Buff precise(adds crit damage as well)/decisive please(Increases ultimate's damage and gives a flat ult regen) so that if you do complete the harder content next patch some traits aren't total garbage. Orrrr no?

Julianos is not the end-game gear. Good luck getting into a raid group with Julianos after nerfs.

By your logic right there, then old players will be on the same footing as new if everyone needs to re-gear after nerfs.....
vMA weapons aren't required btw.. a very large group of "old players" don't use them. I have multiple sharpened, precise, etc 1h and don't use them. I have 2h sharp I don't use. is this a pve or pvp thread? raiding gear for end game? easy enough to start a group yourself and run it on normal to get gear. "LF11M any role normal SO farm".
try typing that into zone.

You mean, normal MMO gameplay?
(Hey, does anyone remember the 'good old days' of WoW raiding, where you would raid for months to 'earn' DKP so that you could bid against other members of your raid group if the last piece of your set dropped? And then an expansion coming out and resetting the gear cap so you had to do it all again? Good times, good times.... I hear it was even more fun in Everquest, since nothing was instanced so you were competing against every other raid group when that world boss respawned at 4am.)
Why if it takes INFINITY time to farm now? WHAT IF?!?
Seriously, metrics and data.
The game is too easy. Way too easy. Compared to where it was... yeah. ZOS deciding that they have for too long strayed from core components of the game and wish to rectify that is not a problem.
I am a new player (dabbled at launch though) and know it will make my life a little more difficult.
Well you know what? When I go bowling, I actively choose to have the bumpers down. What if I get a gutter ball? The end is neigh!!
What if my pizza coupon expires before I order pizza?! Will I NEVER buy pizza again? No. I will. Would have been EASIER before but oh well.
Calm down. It will be fine.

You can do any content in this game with Julianos, up to and including VMOL HM. Find a new group.
As long as the gear grinding problem is not fixed the game is going in a wrong direction with these nerf.
It will be very very very hard for new players to catch up with the old players - gear wise.
Like VMA weapons for example - forget about them new players!.
Or raiding gear- good luck finding a place in raiding groups.
I don't get how you don't see that you are creating a huge imbalance between new players and old players.
Old players will adapt very quickly to the new nerfs, some will drop their damage a bit for more sustain, others will team up only with trusted players.
Guess who will suffer the most? - Right the new players! - The new players will have to put an enormous effort to catch up with old players gear wise!
The sustain imbalance that some builds have will look minor in comparison with the new type of imbalance you are introducing - the gear imbalance.
You said in your interviews many times that you do your changes gradually and try not to touch what's working - well that's not what you are doing now good luck with that.

Trust me, the old players are going to have problems too. This is all but killed the raiding community imho

That's exactly the problem. Lots of old players already have the end game gear - they don't need to farm the hard content for gear. The old players will still do the hard content for competitive interests like getting on the leader boards etc.
For the new players however the end game gear will be just a dream - will they stick to the game when they see how much effort will it take them to get it? Will they stick to the game when all they hear is "Well back in easy days I farmed VMA in 45 minutes - too bad it takes you twice as long now". Let me tell you - the new players will not stick with this game.
Also that easy content you mentioned above - it will get harder with the sustain nerf - the pug groups of novice players will have hard time to beat that too.

So much doom and gloom. How did the "old players" get this gear? They got it before sustain was infinite with the Veteran Rank systems were still in place. Will they get it as easily or quickly? No, but will all the dungeons and trials still be doable, of course it will be. it was before Champion Points busted the system and the fights have been deisgned around not having infinite sustain anyway.

nothing in the patch notes is "making all content harder."
nothing in the patch notes says "and while we know this will lower your characters capabilities since you wont be maxdam clickety clickety with no sustain issues no more, we are gonna screw you by leaving arenas and trials tuned for that level of performance the same"
i wont argue against changing the end game gear searches... heck if i had my way you could do a lot of good by:
1 - no more dropped weapons. All existing drop sets weapons become jewels. maelstrom, master, BSw etc - weapons go to jewels. The killer rng grind for wpn-time-traits crap rng gets replaced by more reasonable necklace or ring x trait rng.
2 - monster sets may change to jewels or may not. dont care. best option might be having these be unique by having the drops be "craft mats" used for making these special sets should-helm sets with style control.
3 - weapons may only be crafted in sets - no drop weapons are sets, ever.
4 - body pieces can be crafted or drop sets. Drop set styles can be changed by crafts. The current rng for armor piece dropped remains.
this gives both crafted and drops a guaranteed place at the table, reduces the biggest grind for trait drop issue and adds the cosmetics for drops. Each of the three restricted types (monster, jewels and weapons) come thru different means with monsters being one requiring both grind and crafting.
Everybody wins if these systems work in tandem, in cooperation as opposed to the competition for slots we have now.

VMA weapons were brought as example only. I'm not sayin they are required or not.
There are lots of hard dungeons that rewards powerful gear. Those dungeons are about to become harder. Will you find groups to farm them? - Yes. Will it take longer to farm it yes- are you agree to sacrifice more time for it- and here is when you start loosing players - because not all players will want to sacrifice more time for the gear.
It needs 1 hour to complete it - 1000 players are up for it
It needs 1.5 hours to complete it - 500 players are up for it
It needs 2 hours to complete it - 100 players are up for it
Do you see the exponent factor there? That's how it will affect the new players number (but with a different coefficient of course).
