For me seeing someone carrying a maelstrom weapon means something, it's a symbol of success and expert at PVE contents. You can be sure to get through any dungeon if your group has one of those guy in it.

Like they put an ad on Craigslist looking for a lady of the night and then invited them in and asked them to farm vma?
You.. what now? I'll just pretend I didn't read that.and from what I see its perk only affects the ability Wall of Elements, which I don't even use - so it seems as though for somebody like me, this is undesirable.
Master weapons are garbage, Maelstrom weapons are BiS. Sharpened is BiS in practically every case. Precise blablabla Group pen blablabla, go sharpened or go home.Is the Sharpened trait inherently more strong on Master Weapons?

Please go to http://alcasthq.com , daddy @Alcast will teach you the ways of the sharpened.
Well clearly then none of it matters to you, if you're happy doing whatever casual content you're doing, where you can literally just heavy attack everything to death and use no skills whatsoever. That is the overworld and normal content in this game.You.. what now? I have never been in the meta or know as to what other people use, I know how I'm set up, I destroy the gameplay I do partake in which is only limited to regular campaign and dungeons. I haven't actually done any vet content and I'll admit it.

On my Fire DK I built mostly with skills that added fire damage or magic damage, and some sustainability - in fact my other weapon bar is dedicated to Resto, so I have 5 skills to spare for my Destruction bar. I can kill regular 32k health enemies in 2 hits usually, which is more than good enough for me to be happy.
On my Sorc I have only one bar I use, because I only use her to farm stuff, such a cheesy character. I just built for lightning like crazy and spell crit, and now Pulsar wrecks - add that in with lightning form, two pets and you're honestly laughing.
But because I use Pulsar, that is what I'm not understanding about wall of Elements, why would I want to target in front of me, in an area enemies can easily walk out of, when I can target all around me? I've never had an issue with my build, but i guess it's because I've never done the super number crunching.
I've tried to understand the damage formulas but even Einstein would struggle with this stuff.
