Also, mods what happened to the name and shame rule? This thread is full of it!
Their likely running damage control, or have held off as the devs try to gleam feedback like druids looking through bird entrails.
And whether it be faux concern, people looking to knock someone up high down a couple pegs, that's all it is. Community was allways toxic, this isn't new.
I find it interesting that the community isn't toxic when people who buy Crown Crates are given a 19 page walk of shame, we are told that never happen'd after the thread is deleted, but some YouTube hero go into a rant that he later pulls because he know's it doesn't cast him in the best light...and the forum is suddenly toxic for pointing out how unhinged it was.
Whether or not the toxicity was -justified- as to the crown crates, perfect example.
But then again, my statement stands.
I guess it boils down to this: why is ZOS making some of these changes?
MMO's change, I still remember rage-quitting a character in a comic-book MMO a decade ago, after they nerfed something.
But some of these changes look suspiciously like they were done to make money, not to balance the game or make the game better.

Then you clearly have not seen the industry pull this and continue killing build diversity and among other things because they do not really test to begin with, I never said people should not wait for more notes but if people stay silent then greedy companies will continue getting away and people will not hear the negative truths of the direction of those said companies, sorry but I just disagree with you there but your right no one should say the sky is falling now when we only seen the start oft he patch notes.
See you lose credibility and enter the mindless rant zone when you star spewing anthem backed speeches about greedy companies. Investor capitalist are greedy, most developers just want to make games, which is amazing considering the crap they endure.
"Negative truths?"
Let's have some ground rules, if you're going to attempt rational discussion about this please leave out the Politico-Conspiracy speak, it makes you look hysterical.CosmicSoul wrote: »To be honest it does sound like you do not see the bigger picture and never care beyond your own class issues, most people like yourself only look within the box and this is why you likely think it is just fluid mechanic changes in those other mmorpgs you played. And im sorry but you been playing mmorpgs since when now? Meridian 64? My first mmorpg was eq1.
My own class? Jack you have no clue what classes I even play. Also my veiw comes from experiences as a player and a devloper, I think the way I do because I have seen projects both succeed and fail and many times they failed because the Lead Producer caved and decided to listen to that shrill person screaming that all was lost on some podcast.CosmicSoul wrote: »But trust me there is hardly anything fluid about mmorpg mechanic changes in newer mmorpgs, they are not just changes they are very bad changes in many mmorpgs, just because you can adjust to bad changes does not mean everyone else should nor does it mean mmorpgs should be this way. Not to mention you see this often with mmorpgs with pve and pvp atleast wow split skills between pvp and pve.
Okay now you're just spewing hyperbole....we're done here.

This dude is a foul mouthed DB....If he want's to make a difference there are more noble causes than dropping the F bomb every five seconds over a video game.
He could be saying anything in any tone with any language and you'd be hating on him.
Yeah because it's all about the hate...
I interact with several different ESO streamers a couple I completely disagree with, but they can present their argument in a non hysterical way.
You called him a "drama queen twitpilot," whatever that is, in the very first comment you posted in this thread. Your bias against him is obvious. In your case, yeah, it's about the hate.
Whatever dude, he's having a full PTSD melt down on line right now over a video game, I think the guy needs help and I'm not saying that to be a jerk. I can tell you're a fan and if you care about the guy you should be concerned with his well being.
Also, firstly, not your brothers keeper.
Two...I dont think you know what PTSD means. I took a look at the stream too. He's likely had about enough of the constant balance changes and games industry conventions as the rest of us, dunno why you keep trying to see a deeper meaning behind it.
We are all our brothers keepers, or should be.
Also you don't know me so I'm just going to laugh my *** at that other observation.
No deeper meaning I just listened to the guy....apparently you didn't.
I did. Aaand I drew a different conclusion.
And no we're not. Trust me, we're not. Faux concern as a means to lob criticism isn't very hard to see, trust me. Or do you donate to charity on a regular basis? Eitherway. I said it before and I'll say it again, the man is currently having some duress as to his living situation, and is deciding betwen potentially personal enjoyment and money. It's not like the stress of having to provide isn't factoring into it.
I dont know whether or not he has the audience to basicly move wherever he wants and still support himself. I do know that if he dosent, that makes the choice all the worse.
People judge, far too harshly to me.
First off my concern isn't faux, again you don't know me, but yeah I do a lot of Volunteer work and give when I can. Secondly I think even he is thinking he should have taken a breath before going off, because he was caveating a lot of stuff at the end.
I think he needs to do a life check if a game is making him melt down like that, he should think about different choices.
Not sure why youre giving him a hard time and referencing PTSD about a vet while hes talking about something hes passionately dedicated a lot of time to for himself and his community hes built.... the comment is really inconsiderate.
He needs a life check? This is a 'melt down'? Yelling and being pissed about serious changes? I dont agree with every opinion on balance he said, not yet at least - but everyone is entitled to their opinion. Its easy to poke at people while youre sitting comfortably behind the screen at home. Not sure how many pages you need to reply on a thread about how someone else should react and how their feelings should be invested in an issue. Also - he didnt caveat on anything at the end. Hes pissed about the game and his longer term interests appeared to shift.
Ive received the same treatment for going off about things that enraged me about a game I dedicated time to building a community. People that dont stream share the same feelings of frustration. Long and the short of it is stop trying to push off onto everyone how someone should carry themselves - especially when theyve done a lot of positive things for the game and are an overall good character.
Help me out here......
So your'e saying toxicity is perfectly justifiable because your group likes to shame people on the forums and in game that buy Crown Crates?
Tell me you're not saying that.
Just want to point out to folks there is an ignore feature on the forums, if there is any comments from anyone you don't wish to see or you feel is bothering you.

This something you posted a while back:Just want to point out to folks there is an ignore feature on the forums, if there is any comments from anyone you don't wish to see or you feel is bothering you.
As much hate as you are displaying, maybe it is time for you to take your own advice, put us all on ignore please.
They know most people will continue to play, no matter what bs they keep pulling off. It has been like that for years in the gaming industry. They just keep throwing out their funnel, to lead people into the crown store and buying dlc and other crap. Housing? They made gathering, furnishing and crafting a mindless chore, so people would tske the easy way out into the crown store. Same thing with the warden. It is the same story again and again. If I were to make a list about all the cash grabbing strategies I have experienced in my time here... my god.Darkestnght wrote: »Why would ZOS intentionally ruin their game?
Deltia telling us to not spend money, then made a video of how rubbish and stupid crown crates were after spending $100 HIMSELF
Time passed and I watch a random video and hes on a storm atronach mount lmao
So please do NOT take his opinion or ANYONE's opinion about how you should spend your money because they are all hypocrites.
They all ride the crown crate mounts but slam ZOS and the idea of it
