Just not 100% clear from the description in the champion tree line. Is direct damage any weapon or spell attack but not any channeled or dot attack/damage? eg. jesus beam would not take advantage of points into Master of arms?

Force Pulse would be affected, Radiant Oppression no, because it is considered a damage over time (affected by Thaumaturge).

From my testing, it's any ability that classifies as a direct dmg attack or with a direct target component.

For Templar, jabs is buffed by Master of Arms. So is eclipse. Both vastly different spells, yet because jabs does an extra buff on single target while eclipse you have to use on one player before you get the AOE dmg means the spells are benefit from Master of Arms.

And yes, heavy attacks are considered direct attacks. But I have not tested if master of arms buffs them.

Have we tested this? Jabs was increased by both thamaturge and master of arms for me but for RD it's buffed by thamaturge but targets one player/mob.

Depends on the heavy attack type. Lightning staffs are considered a channel, at least after the first and last tick so that could be buffed by Thauma and MaA.

RD is a channeled ability. All channeled abilities, even Flurry, are considered damage over time regardless if its single target or not. Reflective Light is a DoT but targets 3

I can confirm that all ticks of a Lightning staff heavy attack are currently buffed by both Thaumaturge and MoA (tested on a fresh template with no other CP invested and no gear except the staff).

Why is Jabs considered direct damage and a DoT at the same time? lol.

It buffs jabs? Any chance you can test whether Jabs can now proc scathing mage then? I've been figuring it buffs all the abilities that proc scathing mage but 100% certain jabs don't proc scathing on live :)
