I figured with all the nerf threads going on right now but we should actually put one up that has a meaning to it.

    Zos can't. They already removed .5 root from gap closers, but left snares to help gap closers to impact.

    Both. I would agree to a 4 sec root immunity if gap closer snare didn't exist or had a counter. There needs to be a reliable way to kite, as is unending roots is necessary to combat the never ending gapcloser and snare.

    I dont rly see the problem with gap closers missing if the target moves out of range, its simply idiotic that you get snared. Its a tool for zergs to not have to use their brains.

    They most certainly can. They just choose not to. That's a big difference.

    Gap Closers need no help to impact. The utter irony is that Templar's toppling charge worked perfectly fine and better than it ever had long before ZoS "fixed" it and added the Gap closer crap to "help" it.
    Make Rush of Agony "Monsters only." People should not be consecutively crowd controlled in a PvP setting. Period.

    It's not because of the range. Without the snare, the charge would not land in your target if he is moving, even if he is within the range.

    Yes FFS get rid of that awful snare. That is the most senseless garbage mechanic in game atm.

    Is it really that big of a deal if a gap closer fails to deal damage occasionally when targets are in motion (usually trying to run away from a zerg...)?? Even when damage fails, it still does the job of closing the gap to allow you to deal melee damage, and if not, you gap close again - simple.

    Gap closers are wickedly strong even without the hard snare - they have huge range, supersonic speed, low cost, no cooldown, and high damage. @Wrobel and @ZOS_RichLambert I'm still waiting for you to make this right.

    But that shouldn't be a problem, the use of a gap closer should have their own risks. Not getting into the gap closer range is one of them. If you want to get at a safe range to use it, just run.

    A stupid mechanic. Having the option to sprint (and even use major exp during a fight) or stun from range by using available skills, ZoS prefers to go for the snare...

    How about removing Gap closers from non-class weapon skill lines. That way NB's would see actual use in PvP.

    Supposedly it was to compensate for a system error when gap closers wouldn't connect with their targets.
    A system error which didn't seem to have any impact on anything, and no one had any problems with.

    If thats the case, make them ground based and lower their damage, and then you can remove that god aweful snare bullshjt, then you'd have to actually have to aim them and it might actually require some sort of skill.

    IMO has been absolutely game breaking

    It just sucks that I make a build with a really fast character with fiords and an orc stam sorc and even though I don't even get hit my movement speed drops. Over and over again. And even better if I dodge the gap closer poisons still proc. Like why he didn't even hit me.

    Good news for you they are nerfing them. Also roll dodge gives cc immunity.

    I know and fix soul Assault for me. However my niche build got nerfed anyway!!!!!! Hurayyyyyyy!!!!!
