Mag dk with dual wield or sword n board does not regen magika. You have to back bar a stick to get mag back.
Additionally any class can heavy attack, so not really class specific
If you're playing DPS MagDK you should be using Inferno staves. You're losing out on a lot of DPS with those options.
I prefer not to be piegeon holed, and my build works just fine as im built for survivability, and ability to time burst and finish enemies while fighting outnumbered.
Im essentially a light armor tank.
To each their own. Most builds perform good or great in their own way if optimized to what you're aiming for. However, there is a reason why the majority of magicka DPS build a certain way. Double fire staff or front bar fire and back bar lightning not only gives you the destro passive bonus with a destro skill slotted (fire 8% single target, lightning 8% AOE), it also allows you to efficiently light weave between skills (LA are a LARGE portion of your DPS) and allows you to HA to regain resources.
Even if you're building for solo and/or survivability, it's essential to have a weapon that "matches" you're type (Staff for Mag) on at least one bar that's geared for some DPS. You're S/B is definitely fine, but I question the dual wield as it isn't optimal for AOE as it was in previous patches.

Yeah there's this certain skill called Molten Armaments, that works really well with heavy attacks. So that part is totally DK specific. You get 40% more damage and resource return at the same time, not too bad.

Without CP Sorc sustain is even worse than DK. They don't have no Battle Roar, Channelled Focus or Siphoning Attacks in trials. They've got Dark Conversion which will totally gut your DPS numbers. All the classes will be tough next patch.

Im actually looking for to it, i think that there will be more choice to be made about role. Right now i can dps, heal and tank with the same charachter without changing a thing.

800?
My magicka recovery is 2145 @ 299 CP
Forget Magician...go for Arcanist + heavy attacks + Mag Recovery food. You'll never run out of magicka.
Keep Destructive Clench, Dragon Fire Scale, Obsidian Shard, and Green Dragon Blood on your bar and you'll have ZERO chance of ever dying, unless you go up against more than 5 mobs at a time.
Haha you must not know who you replied to. There is nothing new you can tell him abt DKs. Trust.

Haha, at work got busy while typing. I edited the two mistakes just for you.
MNB is pretty rough

I'm a Templar. I've never played a DK once. My initials in real life are DK.

Wasn't referring to PvP.
Sure if you want to use a staff and be a sorc wannabe. Try playing a dual wield concealed weapon nb. Tell me how well your sustain and damage works out for you.
I assume you PvP, because CW is horrible for PvE for multiple reasons. SW/FH for solo for self heals and CS/FP trials for more monster set procs. Zero issues and the only resemblance Mageblade have to Sorcs are CS/FP and Blockade, which all Mag DPS use at one point or another. We just don't pull as much DPS as Sorcs.
PvP is another story, obviously. You spam CW 10+ trying to kill someone, yeah you'll have problems. I typically see Mageblades using CW for burst builds, so you shouldn't be spamming it that many times.

I meant in PvE. In PvP you can already easily sustain in no-CP if you build for it, so next patch it will still be fairly easy, maybe at the cost of a regen/reduction glyph or two.

It should be spammable tho, I hope they increase the damage by like 30% or even more and even if they do it Magicka NB will still be trash in PvP.
OP, MagDk are the worst to sustain, you can sustain like a boss right now with 2 combined sets but next patch I recommend you to delete your character lol.
