I just want to thank for it. It would be great if the speed of getting experience was always this way. ... Until now, the game is not possible to change the Alliance, and the player must create a character anew, to play for another Alliance.
Thank you again.

If you are a brand new player in ESO it does take a very long time to get to 600 CP. A new player will go through and craft which takes time, gather skyshards, lorebooks, they will explore cause they are new to the game, doing quests for XP not grinding in Skywatch but actually playing the content of the game. If you PVP some it will even take longer cause XP in Cyrodiil comes very slow. That stuff takes a very long time to get to max CP. A lot of Veteran players dont see it that way cause they do things to level faster but most new players will actually play the game and quests, craft, explore etc.

It aint all bad for double xp. I been playing since Launch with only one Char and still under 550 CP. Its not our fault alot of players grinded Craglorn when it launched but instead played the game, so let us enjoy the double xp

Dude if you been here since launch you should be well pass the cap. I'm like 60 over the cap I don't grind. I took a total of something like 8 months off the game and only ever grinded alts and that was after hitting lv. 50 put you at max. I spend just about all my time in PvP solo ganking not anything near good EXP. How are you not pass max.

Why? Maybe because if all people will gain such a big amount of experience in such short period of time you'll end in trials and dungeons with 600+ CP people who have completely no idea about class and role they play, cause all their in game time they spent in skyreach.

DUDE i have full time job and a one year old girl so i only play eso maybe 5-10 hours per week if that, plus i love exploring looking for chests and Thieves Troves things like that. I honestly only just finished Caldwells Gold about 2 months ago. Plus ZOS told me i could play how i want so i played Tank for almost 2 years and CP was really hard to get playing that role

So I understand to some extent why people respond like this, but some of the ones on the other side are like me. I was a Top 100(purple) raid leader in WoW for years. I also got Gladiator. I did Extreme Mode raiding in FF14. I've had gold capes in Guild Wars(won season tournament in a PvP centric game). I also played SWTOR casually after we demolished all the endgame like 3 weeks after launch. I've been playing ESO pretty hard since the last week of December. I have beaten vMA, vSO, vAA and doing vHRC. I just did a /played on my main and it has 18 days, 23 hours, 50 minutes and 51 seconds. I have surely more than doubled that with my other characters.

I'm not trying to brag, there are thousands of people with far more gaming achievements than me. The point is, that I, someone who has been very competent in MMOs for over a decade, still can't operate at max effectiveness purely because the rate of experience gain versus what's required is so low. Not everyone who grinds or farms is some garbage player. I'm sure many of the really bad CP600s have never grinded also, but just got it all from questing and normal dungeons.

These events make me want to play the game a lot more and diminish the treadmill feeling just a bit.

You too love yourself and your achievements, but they are an illusion, like this game. It's not serious. The game must remain a game, not a substitute for life. I do not see a connection between your investment of 10 years of life in WoW, and this game.
... You and your experience is your own business. I'm talking about all the players.

I'm talking about the convenience of the game. I'm talking about the fact that people have to stupidly hollow Dolmen to quickly make a new character. While it has long been time to make the transition from one Alliance to another possible.

You can get pots to increase xp but it's not really needed with the catch up cp in place. When Morrowind comes out I will be making a new warden character and it will take some time to get to lev 50 as I will be trying out the new skills and getting to know the class even though I am at cp cap. The trouble with getting tons of xp and leveling fast is you don't get to know how the class works properly ( it's weakness/strengths) and then you see in these forums complaints about how crap players are at end game content even if they are at cap.

With the exception of PvP and just messing around overworld there is little learned about playing the class until most of the skills, and in some cases the morphs, are unlocked.

For the most part a character at level 25 does not play the same as one at max level.

@kendellking_chaosb14_ESO There's just hundred ways to play the game. I know there are those who have played since lauch, and hardly reach lvl 50.

I have very similar progression with sickboy, played since early access and a bit over 550 cp. I have no answer why I'm not over 600. I quest, craft, wander around. Still enjoying the game.

I've played a few MMOs before ESO and compared to others, it has one of the best and fastest leveling systems in every aspect. How come people find Skyrim's (or any other ES single player title) large content and similar leveling style fun but find ESO hard just because it's online? Doesn't make sense to me, it's perfectly fine as it is imo, the occasional exp boost events are just a plus for people who still miraculously find leveling hard here...

I do not say the game is difficult, impossible - in PvE.
I just think it's stupid to go through the same quests every time to create a new character.
If the ESO Store were selling the opportunity "Create a new character", for money - I would buy.
To pay 25 dollars is less than to spend 2 weeks.

They have already made leveling easy mode. VR is gone, and they had already decreased XP before that. They have the CP catch-up. If you feel the need to level more characters, that is your problem. Perhaps suggest more ways to speed up alts. But they definitely do not need to speed up leveling for first characters. It fine as-is.

The reason why keeping the double XP doesn't make sense is that doubling the normal XP just changes the baseline. Then, when there is another event, they double it again and somebody posts that we should keep that XP rate that is now 4x. Eventually we reach the point where the first POI you discover gives you enough XP to level you to 50.

XP is fine because you end up at least in the vicinity of 50 by Coldharbour. That is the ideal rate. Finishing the home alliance quests should get you to 50. They should not design the game to get you to 50 in the 3rd zone.

Veteran players know of places where they can grind a character up to Level 50 in just a couple days. That time shortens to hours if they're drinking XP gain potions and boosting that with Store bought XP Scrolls. They skip all the questing and the usual leveling path intended for players and head to a single Dungeon or other spot, use their scrolls, drink their potions, and then go on a killing spree.

Wearing a full set of armor with the Training trait doesn't hurt either.

I agree with you, this is the easiest leveling system I've had in an MMO since vet levels were removed. but i would imagine its because there is no end game in a offline game. in a MMO everyone wants to get to the endgame because we play for the competitiveness ( most of us)

The cake has to go into the "Okay, I Guess" file. Its good for leveling alts you don't really play around with that much but with One Tamriel, levels don't really make much of a difference. Skills and achievements are the annoying things these days.

As a player who has been playing since beta, and has since leveled multiple characters to maximum level, I really did appreciate this event. Even though the experience boost was of little help to me as I did not need any of it, it was nice touch for newer players. However, I think the pinnacle of why this update was great was in the crates. These little boxes gave a plethora of helpful items to players new & old. Thanks to it, I now have a lot more crafting styles to experiment with. This was definitely a good time to be an Elder Scrolls Online player and I hope to see more events like this. Thank you to all of you wonderful people at ZOS!

I have been playing this game consistently since just after release (april 2014). I have never understood why the big hurry to get to end game. I have 786 CP as of today. I have 7 characters and played every story line with every toon. Yes by the 3rd time it was repetitive (and even more so by the 7th), but it is still the fastest XP with the maximum Skill points.

My advice to anyone interested is to take their time and enjoy the game -- stories, graphics, and all. what is the big hurry? Grinding is truly a waste because a noob will never learn their character, nor will they learn the mechanics. High CP doesnt make the player - experience does... JMHO.

I play to do quests, not to prove my steepness. And I find it difficult, alone, here in MMORPG - I admit it. This is normal. And I'm grateful that this event has passed.

You're right, experience is key. For my guild I work on upgrading new players' experience with mechanics/situational awareness/rotations rather than telling them to go to skyreach for weeks and come back as a strong maxed CP player. Max CP is just the edge number wise.
