[Resolved] Launcher/game update - what gives? (PC/NA)

My PC crashed and after the restart my ESO launcher is "updating". Seems to be taking a long time about it too - either the source site is very slow, or the update is huge. So what is in the update?
Update: launcher disappeared so I restarted it... and I'm downloading a 1.6GB patch.... does this mean I'm going to be a Morrowind pre-release tester?

✭✭✭✭✭Sometimes when the PC crashes information is lost. It's possible all your settings are lost as well.

No you don't. Your system crashed causing corruption. Launcher is fixing those corruptions with replacement files.2 -
Pyr0xyrecuprotite✭✭✭✭✭Update: I figured it out. What happened is that my PC booted to my BACKUP disk drive, which was an image from a few months ago. This caused the launcher to re-download the Homestead update, to update my old image. Took me a while to figure out that I was missing a bunch of other data too. Just had to re-enable (and test) the primary hard disk, disable the backup drive again, and everything was hunky dory once more.
