It might kill some heavy builds that run no sustain sets and go for pure damage. But everyone is just going to run bone pirate + the new drink on jewelry and weapons so you should be able to sustain fine in with a damage heavy set added to that.

The champion system cannot be fixed. It needs to be either revamped completely or removed for PvP. Let PvE keep it. Heavy armor wasn't a pve mets, Mobs don't complain about balance, and people like their meaningless vertical progression too much.

Doubtful. People will be creative with sustain + HA sets. I'm sure there's already people out there drooling over spreadsheets trying to figure out the BiS gear and CP for the change.

Actually if you consider the whole picture, heavy armor is getting buffed. All armor types utilized the cost reduction; however, the regen passives were utilized by MA/LA which has not only been reduced by 10%, but now there's a new passive that reduces your opponent's regen.

Meaning, next update heavy armor will be relatively stronger than it is now.

yup, mag dk specifically is disgusting in there as well due to nobody having any fire damage/magic damage resist.

tbh all the alls the sustain lot in pvp need to do is run either witch mothers for magicka or camoran for stamina and it'll be almost like nothing happened lol

Key word: "almost" the cost issues will be noticeable in all spectrums tbh.

No, I imagine heavy armor will still have relatively high sustain and high resistances with very little tradeoff.

At this point, medium and light armor need slight buffs to bring them into balance with heavy.

Yes but seeing that most people have an unfathomable rage and want a full on crusade against heavy armor it be damned.

Already done it and no, after a loooooooooooot of tries Heavy Armor is completely dead, especially for 1vX.

CP is part of the problem but there are others which allow these 600 regen tanks.

Constitution giving both stamina and magicka is what allows stam dk/ stam sorc to run around with 600 regen because they convert magicka into stam.

Stupid skills like dark deal which give far to much resources for literally no risk.

Heavy armor is awesomesauce now, and will still be after morrowind, unless they nerf it somehow, wich in all honesty is needed as light and medium armor is *** compared to heavy.

I have no idea and lost interest in ever seeing balance to this games PVP . I really believe will all my heart it will never get sorted because the people in charge won't change . For me it's an exercise in futility boarder lining on insanity to even waste a breath of criticism or constructive input . Nothing resembling a decent well thought out idea has ever been considered and most of the time something objectively opposite occurs . I would rather watch documentaries on insect mating rituals then ever in forever bother caring about anything as completely broken and hopeless as PVP balance in eso .

My Stam DK running fury and werewolf hide will be fine. My stamplar using ravager and bone pirate will be fine.ight have to slot repentance... Stam sorcs will be fine because dark deal is broken op. Magica dk will be ok. Magica templar will be ok because I don't remember the last time I saw one that wasn't just spaming bol while blocking. My saptank will be ok. Might have to swap 1 glyph to reduce cost, but may not have to.

Shame really, I want it to go back to light/medium.

It would kill it before as it was before CP system and sets/skills rebalance, HA buff, tho was reason why noone could play it nor in pve, nor in pvp. Now, it will make HA balanced to other armor types and not easy mode.

It was "critial parts" since day one till CP system. Such claims just show how bad people at understanding balance.

I don't think heavy armor builds will even notice. PvE Magicka Dragonknights, however, will be utterly unplayable if you want good DPS. They're going straight to the bottom of the bin.

This lol switched from my stam DK to building a stam sorc and the resource management is so ridiculously easy i just stacked fully proc'd weapon damage to 4700 at 600 regen. Not to mention the mobility is to die for on a stam sorc.

Disagree. I already dropped all the cost reduction CPs and have no issues sustaining in heavy armor. 10% loss on magicka regen can easily be made up elsewhere.

I see alot of responses for PvP. I think it will solve a lot of the HA PvP cancer builds but from a PvE perspective, resource management is going to be a nightmare. I switched to stam at the start of the homestead patch and I have run VDSA three times since and every time i have had a hard time adjusting.

I cant spam talons, chains, inhale, help with dps via whips, dragonblood frivolously, shield frivolously etc.

speaking as a DK of course.

and this is with 31k hp, 30k stam and 18k mag

so take away the sustain of CP, as a stam tank, its going to me more of an adjustment.

All these people wanting heavy armor nerfs... jeez, have you do quickly forgotten that constitution and wrath were already nerfed not two patches ago?

Heavy is fine, stop trying to destroy it just because it can survive your glass cannon gank builds, that's what it was designed to do.

As for the champion changes, I don't think it will kill heavy but it may make sustain sets more valuable, especially sets like black rose.

The majority of pvp is in heavy, if heavy was balanced this wouldn't be the case.

Constitution should give stamina or magicka, not both. That'll help stop the perma block healbot and the 600 regen full dmg setups.
