So..... you guys got your crown sales.... GREAT! I just hope that with enough money (I guess the 500 million dollars that they've won from Facebook wasn't enough) ZOS can finally be motivated to finally fix the damn group finder bug that is ruining PVE including other issues that people are ignoring these days because their so worried about another lousy crown sales.
Just because you posted I'm going to buy another $100.00 worth.

Yep it's almost like he's paid to do so.
The OP is just salty that ZOS ignored his request for a P2W crown store.

I'm willing to spend 1000 gold each for a set, of course... gold

His much anyone spends on crowns or how they spend it is irrelevant to you. It's their game and their money to choose to do as they wish.
Further, your continued statement about the money Zos parent company won in a lawsuit somehow should be enough for Zos merely demonstrates you have a major lack of knowledge of business in general. Certainly glad your not the. Haines manager for any of the Zenimax companies.
Are you speaking English to me? I didn't quite understand your first sentence. First off Elder scrolls Online is our game. There is consequences in which can happen if certain activities are deem appropriate base on the players decision. Is this what we want the Elder scrolls online to turn into? A giant size RNG? Is bad enough that we have to spend months trying to farm for BIS gear in trials/dungeons. Whatever happen to the idea that I can use my money for crowns to purchase an item that I want? Once the transaction is finalized I can obtain the item that I want? Isn't that how the world works, huh? Instead now these days If you want that flashy apex mount you must gamble away your crowns for crates in which there is no guarantee of such item.
As far as my lack of knowledge of business in general. Might I let you know that I'm self employed. I'm into resales and now planning on going into the business of Nurseries & Gardening. Yes I operate my own business in the comfort of my own home. Had I treated my clients the way ZOS treats their players I would be out of business for sure because RL non gaming people would not put up such garbage. Gaming companies can get away with murder these days.

Most people can read through the one misspelled word. I'll restate it better to help you out.
How much someone spends on crowns and how the spend it is irrelevant to you.
Hope that helps.
Second, Zos has a vested interest on working on game content itself. They know well that they must be able to keep player interest for anything else they do to matter.
Running a small business doesn't really mean you have a broad knowledge of business. Many operate small businesses but it is really their trade they know and not so much the busisness aspect. Your statements concerning the lawsuit clearly indicates you have much to learn about business and are certainly not qualified for management on the business side of a company the size of Zos and especially Zenimax. No doubt there.
Oh. Typing on my phone so I expect a few typos. If you truly run a business I trust you'll be able to figure it out.
In reference to the bold sentence; Economics 101 says that this statement is demonstrably false.raidentenshu_ESO wrote: »Giles.floydub17_ESO wrote: »raidentenshu_ESO wrote: »Giles.floydub17_ESO wrote: »The @raidentenshu_ESO

Stopped reading right there. Going to buy crowns now, as well. Always buy 5500 on a sale, personally.

This is why I don't feel I need any more Crowns on any of my accounts (plural). I still have tons of Crowns available from ESO Plus and prior sales. As someone who does not want to purchase even one Crown Crate, if they focus their efforts on stuffing the Crates with goodies, at the expense of direct purchase in the store, I figure I am good for life.
That said, the most recent events and showcases have had a couple things that I have picked up. The Jester hats. The Scholar. The odd costume. My supply is being depleted by these 500 Crown items.
As I am now on a self-imposed limited Crown budget, I only buy the inexpensive stuff, so if they start loading up the Crown Store with 4k mounts, they will help me a lot in making my Crowns last a whole lot longer.

Despite click bait tittle and some poetic phrasing I thought this was actually a good point a lot of players would agree with.
The more profitable crown crates are, the less likely we will be to see deep, meaningful and expansive... expansions. While I wouldn't tell anyone what they should spend their money on, I understand why the op has chosen this moment (while social media is full of stories of people buying a dragons hoard of crowns) to remind us players that we are voting with our wallets for the kind of game we want eso to be.
