I think everyone would be for this even if it cost the same level in mats to do. I think the crown store option should be to allow you to convert using no mats. This is completely separate from buying a particular motif in the crown store.

But also, fix crafted armor kthnx!

Sure, the ideal solution is for crafted to be viable. But how do you do that while keeping the best gear "earned?" Some kind of Transmogrify system seems like the best compromise.

True, but at the same time allowing every player to change the appearance of their dropped set just by purchasing the motif is going to be a giant middle finger to anyone who has done the crafting grind. those 9 traits you learned? useless. not only are your crafted sets sub-par, but also crafted sets no longer have the luxury of being the only way to get your character to look the way you want.

Why not connect these things? Like if you want to change style of BSW set you will need 9 traits, of Viper 8 etc?

I just hate the idea of magically changing the appearance of your armor instantly (yes, I'm not a fan of how the costumes work). Add in some in game mechanic to it so that you can't instantly gratify your set appearance desire. I somewhat cover it in an older post I made about an undaunted overhaul. aimed at making the undaunted pledges more than just a shoulder piece grind.

No offense but thats kinda rediculous.

You are playing a fantasy game. Which involves magic. Where they make things "magically" happen. Frankly if you were to go at it lore wise alone, magic has done extrodinary things in the elder scrolls universe so transmogging armor? pfft. Galerion could probably do it without even thinking about it.

Not really sure your position on this makes much sense.

The fact that crafting nets no profit anymore, but motif knowledge affects your masterwrit quality of vouchers is dumb. At this point I really don't care anymore.

Who in their right mind would buy motifs instead of achieving the prestigious rank of a master blacksmith?

This would also make it so that if you want a new style you yourself have to know the style. It will give players who aren't crafters incentive to learn crafting so that they can change the style rather than have to ask a crafter for new pieces

I don't care how its done, but they need to figure something out along these lines.

I get tired of wearing costumes, the best gear is all dropped and mostly looks like crap. I've created so many awesome looks with crafted sets, but in order to do so I have to sacrifice my stats and it's not right.

A wardrobe system would be better in my opinion, that way I can be a light armor user, but have the appearance of a heavy armor user. (I like a lot of the heavy armor styles more than light and medium)

Can't say it's lorebreaking anymore than their costumes. I can already equip a full heavy armor costume and be actually wearing light armor. I can also be wearing heavy armor but have the appearance I'm wearing only cloth leggings...

Please, it's been asked for thousands of times, by thousands of people, for thousands of years now! (Ok only years but I went with it)

Give the people what they want! Monetize on it and give us the customization options we want!

Care to check out my proposal for an Undaunted Overhaul? Could use your opinion on the Transmogging system.

Agreed, I don't really care how they do it as long as they do it and dont come up with a solution that requires endless grinding with bad rng;)

Seriously ZoS, the topic of Transmogging is ALWAYS coming up, and I definitely think it's a good idea and want to make the most of my motif collection!! I've almost got the last of the ones I'm missing, but I can barely freaking use them!! Almost EVERYONE on the forums thinks this is a good Idea and would love to have this feature! So come on, please give us some sort of sign you're going to do this!

New idea;) Let use use mimic stones to transmog a single item of armor. So if you want your whole set in certain styles that ould require you to have both the motifs and 7 mimic stones;)

Except for throwing on normal clothes just for the heck of it, I find a look I like and stick with it. Not sure why someone else has a problem with that. But I just tears at me if I find an item I want to use but its just wrong. So, make it possible. My characters clothes is part of their story and I don't want someone else's on them. Take the Altmer for instance, I hate their racial robes yet if he wear Elegance items that's what he is forced to wear. I don't even like robes. I use the shirts which makes it even worse.
