What kind of scoundrels, who cut civilians in cities? Only I'm very angry? Why this abomination in the game? In real life, it's total losers

Such things happen in real life too. Every single day, every single hour. I think in America there is a homicide commited once every hour or two. So it's really not much difference to how it is in the game.

Yes, I know you're trying to be funny/sarcastic.

There are quests (the Dark Brotherhood repeatable quests) the require killing npcs in cities in order to progress with the story.

    1) Because it is part of the Dark Brotherhood content. And DB/assassin content has been in Elder Scrolls games for a long time.

    2) Because it is a game, and they are respawning loot pinatas. ;)

It's a game. People feel like Superman's Evil Cousin. And the Guards always give up the chase after a certain point so there's no REAL consequence, other than racking up a gigantic bounty. I'm very sure there are some players that have Bounties up in the millions cause they steal and murder without hesitation and just don't care.

Some people, oddly enough, just do it for fun. While I always avoid harming innocents in ESO, (heck, I can't even steal - I'm such a soppy fool, because I feel bad for the NPCs), I can imagine that there would be an element of humour to slaughtering innocents. It's generally quite funny seeing Jilarga at the Vulkhel Guard Wayshrine relentlessly punching at the 3,453,285,788,485,678th player who attacked her, and achieving absolutely nothing... :p

Even in earlier Elder Scrolls games, I usually shy away from harming innocents unless I'm role-playing an assassin, or something like that. However, in Oblivion, I must admit that I did often make grotesque-looking characters for the sole purpose of toggling God Mode, ramping Hand-to-Hand damage up ridiculously high, and running around one-punching everyone I saw... ...the specimens I created included these rather beautiful chaps...

I don't kill innocents either, even my 'evil' character just steals stuff from boxes and barrels mainly. But people will be people and apparently being a murderer is more 'edgy' or something. I dunno but really the main thing that irks me about murderers in-game are the fact they love to kill the people you are actively trying to pickpocket, waiting for the green ding but before it comes they sneak up with their blade of woe and kill them just for giggles to mess with you.

If throwing mudballs at dueling people can get you banned, that should get you banned too.

Yes they have, I read a thread somewhere on the forums about people dueling in cities and by wayshrines being annoying and people were throwing mudballs at the fighters to mess up the battle. The game devs who were reported of this banned some of the offenders for something like disrupting the gameplay of others or something like that.

Actually, I've done this on my main for a simple reason - when you're trying to get Black Market Mogul, it's the fastest way to get blue items.

Also, if you have a toon you don't play very often it's a quick source of cash. I do pause if I see someone pick-pocketing though.

Thank you! Nothing is more annoying to us non-killer thieves then a killer who loves to mess with us. Accidents happen and people don't notice sure, but I had it happen wayyyy too often for that to be the case, especially by CP 600 players.

Np :) One thing I have noticed is that if you've pick-pocketed one item and then someone kills your target, you get the other two items they were carrying. So might be worth teaming up if you're in it for the gold.

Oh that's a interesting fact, I never knew that. I'll remember that next time I go on a pickpocketing mini spree.

Lately I have just been doing sacks and barrels on the docks and inside ships, no one can kill a barrel lol. That and thieves don't usually go to these places for some reason. I get some nice recipes and blue/green treasure items. Oh and simple motifs like races and primal, I usually clean them and give to guildies who need them if I don't.

I dunno, have you ever tried to kill a barrel? Those things are shifty-like.

And yeah, if I'm looking for prvisioning matts I'll go to the ships in Glenumbra, but if I'm looking for furnishing plans there are a couple houses in Rivenspire that are good.

Yknow some of the npcs just give very rude comments from time to time. Others wont even talk to me. Whats so wrong about wanting to violently murder these people and picking their pockets. THEY SHOULD WORSHIP ME! TO THEM I MIGHT AS WELL BE A GOD! THEY ARE BUT ANTS TO BE CRUSHED BENEATH MY FEET.

Also i like the assassin style and gotta farm the style material

I demand a study be done into the possible link of real life violence with killing civilians in ESO!

I can just see the news now...guy kills neighbor cuz he wanted his sweetroll and thought he would respawn later.
