If it looks like they purposely did it - ie I am fighting a monster and they run up and take it - I use my run buff, and steal the next few they are going for. This will always either get them out of my area, or get them to dump on me with a bunch of tells before putting me on ignore or threatening to report me.

Every so often I might throw a mudball their way if I feel like it, but mainly just move on to other nodes. There's always more.

Really, getting bent because someone else snagged a Node, even from right out under you is the most childish thing I can think of in any MMO... the fact that people think it should be rage-inducing is absolutely absurd IMO.

If they were able to harvest it, it's because they got to it first and it wasn't "mine". Even if it's because I was fighting mobs. I don't understand people who get so worked up over it.

I move on. Lag effects different people in different ways. The person who just ninja-ed "your" node, may not have even saw you there due to your lag. Even if the person was being a jerk, still not worth the wasted effort of being annoyed.

Will the disorient from the consumable stop players from being able to interact with the node/chest? This by far sounds like the best use of the consumable version if so. At least till people start crying *** over it.

On the flip side it also may be a good way to steal nodes...

If I think it should have been obvious I was about to take the node - like if I was stood right on top of it fighting an enemy - I'll explain that to them and ask them not to do it (to anyone) again.

Some people respond really well, saying they didn't know nodes were shared or didn't realise you couldn't collect them while in combat. Some just laugh or tell me they don't care. On one occasion I got a torrent of abuse until I blocked and reported the guy.

If it wasn't obvious or I'm not in the mood to talk to strangers I just carry on.

Typically I'm looking around the whole area while going to grab just one, so I know where I'm going to next. If someone beats me to it, I use rapid maneuver to get to the next node while they're grabbing the first one I was headed for.

It's not mine if I didn't get to it first. Just because I see it and intend to harvest it, doesn't mean it's mine.

GW2 was refreshing in the sense that you never fight over nodes. Everyone can harvest the same node. I never liked this method of fighting over nodes, but I find that resources are plentiful in ESO and it's not that big of a deal if I "lose a node" to another farmer. Move on, there's plenty out there.

I don't care. Most of the time, you are arriving at the same time and both have claim. I avoid nodes if I see people clearing mobs around it and consider it a bit anti-social if people do otherwise, but not a big deal.

The only thing I despise is when they leave stuff in the node.

It's just one node. I keep moving to the next. Different direction than the node taker of course. It's nothing to throw a tantrum. Plenty of other places and nodes to be had.

Move on to the next one if that person happens to be running the same route I am I run a new route big maps lots of resources, the ones that do get me a little are the ones that see you fighting on top node and come in and take, that's just being a jerk, should duel them to the death over the node LOL

There are more than enough nodes to collect. It does not matter to me if someone grabs a node that I am on or before me. I just move on my happy way. Besides I have hundreds/thousands of materials already.
