Alessia bulwark or histbark?

I just like alessia bulwark for the extra resistance but the 5pc bonus isn't as good as histbark.

If this is for PvE, I'd go Histbark unless you're also slotting the Med armor Ultimate. In PvP I'd suggest Meridia's Blessed Armor

Histbark is very good, you can drop shuffle for a utility skill of your own choice, Tavas is the best pve craftable tank set at the moment though if you are a Dk in pve it is an almost must. Good luck.

The extra resist is overkill. Especially if your CP 600.

I agree with the previous poster as far as what is best of the craftable sets. There are other drop sets to consider if your interested

I use bloodspawn and heroric slash for the ult regen and I get a fair amount of warhorns in dungeons and trials.

Tava's just like bloodspawn is overkill when it comes to Ulti gen on tanks in 12 man raids, especially so with 4 warhorns. I would say Histbark is the better crafted, especially for beginners. You save yourself a lot of resources and a skill slot. Obviously you would want to try and work your way to Ebon as soon as you can but until then.

Neither . Both are terrible sets .

I don't think you are going for end-game trials so you have lots of choices .

Get yourself an Ebon Armory set firstly which is not needed for pledges but always nice . Combine it with one of these sets :

Tava's Favor is very good since there are lots of trash fights and you will be getting lots of hits which you can dodge .

Torug's Pact with Infused weapon can give your allies 1 more 1-Handed sharpened weapon . 2500 penetration with 100% uptime on Crusher enchant is possible with that set .

Seducer is also very good for self-sustain and more usage of team support skills .

You can't wear 2 x 5 piece crafted sets. Usually tanks go for 5 crafted 5 dropped 2 monster set. A good combo would be 5 Tava 5 Ebon 2 Lord Warden / Bloodspawn / scourge harvester. Or 2 mismatched pieces that allow you to stack more magica recovery.

Yes, but what about while levelling? What about when you are a level 20 tank with no CP? What would you recommend then?

I tend to go with Whitestrake for the "Oh ****" factor in emergencies, but Hist bark is also great at low levels.

Get Ebon and combine it with one of those 3 sets .

Tava's Favor for more warhorns , Torug's Pact for more penetration , Seducer for more personal sustain and more usage of group skills . You can choose only one and all of them are craftable .
