Has the drop rate for insect wings always been so bad?

I get like 6 butterfly wings per 100+ insect parts, it's less than one in ten. It kind of makes sense for torchbugs since they are usually densely packed but butterflies are pretty rare.

Butterflies are not rare if you go to the right spots. Coast of Wrothgar for example is packed with them. And I usually get quite a lot more than that, but RNG is RNG after all.

I notice the same thing and had to wonder, how do these wingless butterflies fly at all? It's really stupid that you don't get two wings from each butterfly.

Maybe you are damaging them and they become unusable.

Or try the northern parts of Rivenspire, lots of butterflies there.
