I would have taken that boss down and moved on. No one owns a spawn.

Actually, I would have stuck around and taken the boss down again in this particular case, as they want to leave the boss up to exploit. Do that about 15 or 20 times and it would leave me satisfied and smiling.

If they say nothing, I take it down and leave and go about my business. Karma does not have to come from the Universe.

Things are worse than usual in Craglorn this week because of the Jester's Festival double XP. People have spent gold on XP pots, paid for Skyreach runs and other things, and really get pissy when their agenda is in conflict with other people like yourself. Like everyone else has said, feel free to report them, but definitely mute them and don't capitulate to them.

And if you're on XBOX NA, hit me up anytime you want to do some Craglorn group quests/activities. I'm almost always solo and really enjoy Craglorn when I can get one or two people to group with.

You can thank @ZOS_GinaBruno and @ZOS_JessicaFolsom including rest of the ZOS team for turning this game into a giant size grind and farm fest. No longer questing is important for as long as you can grind and farm.

Farming and grinding gives you far more gold and materials then questing so why should anyone waste time to do quest when you can achieve far more by farming?

I think ZOS should re name this game from The Elder scrolls Online to The Elder scrolls farming or grinding... something similar to that nature.

Because grinding is boring and stupid and questing is immersive and requires some actual thought?

Also, "progress" in this game is a joke. Running the CP cheese wheel when it's capped is like OCD running to win a race after it's over and the ribbons have been passed out. People just need to RELAX and enjoy instead of constantly chasing that magic number advantage.

To each his/her own. So long as they aren't $&*$-holes like these guys were, in which case, destroy their souls.

EDIT: "Destroy their souls" = Report them.

I too am on Xbox NA and lately run into lots of this bull in delves and in questing areas where groups are farming. They get in text chat and start barking orders at people. Tell me not to use caltrops or other AOE? I am SO using caltrops. OP I feel for you. Next time just do what you need to do regardless then leave them to their miserable existence.

They aren't farming xp, they are farming motifs and gold. Each time a boss respawn a chance for a Ra Gada motif and you can vendor the other stuff. I was in a group of these but not in this dungeon, got all my motifs. 100k an hour while farming motifs. Never get mad when questsers come through.

That's what happens when a game has a terrible RNG system. Content gets farmed rather than enjoyed. Anyone that played Destiny when if first came out probably still remembers the engram farming cave; where people just shot in a cave for hours farming engrams.

Yes someone did mention in text that if you pull one of the bosses monsters outside the door the main boss keeps respawning
Then you may also wish to bug report this and potentially report it as an exploit. As this is abusing unintended mechanics to gain an advantage.

They already know about it, probably won't be fixed, same explot as the giant camp in Riften

I don't condone any kind of abusive language, yet I don't see the issue here. You came to a boss to kill it, players told you not to, so you listened? I would have killed said boss and moved on with my day. Especially if they were being snotty brats. Why did you not do the same?

Also, people take Dungeons/Raids too seriously. Shoot I had some extremely low leveled players (like 30-40) criticizing me (600cp) for using a bow. I'm playing for fun. And my build is set up to do decent damage.

Anyways, totally agree with the OP, you (or any other friendly/helpful players) ever need help with anything:

The nature of MMO is many people and personalities mixing in the one place. There is a high chance you will run in to people that you do not enjoy. For someone that is not used to abusing or being abused verbally, it can be a very unpleasant experience to encounter people that are being verbally abusive.

In terms of right and wrong, you both have equal moral right to enjoy the content the way you want to enjoy it. Your expectation to not be abused is reasonable though in this environment it is unlikely to be that way often and attempts to force others to behave this way will be futile as it is commonplace in MMO for verbal abusive to be present.

Now I don't say it is right for others to be verbally abusive, I am just mentioning that in this environment what is occurring is quite normal to occur. And in terms of the moderators to enforce a safe environment, they have some degree of needing to allow some abuse through due to it being an impossibility to control in an MMO.

You are also publicly voicing displeasure about their actions, and some replies are even offering assistance and suggestions to go and mess with their enjoyment of the game. To mess up their grinding, does this not then make what you are doing to have the same effect as their words did, ruin their enjoyment of the content in that area?

One tip of advice I can give to reduce the annoyance of seeing that unpleasantness (it is the chat screen after all, just words as it is rare someone can physically stop you). Have an extra tab on your chat screen that is blank, you can add additional tabs an your chat menu in the top right hand corner. Set the options that nothing is incoming, no tells or anything like that. Then when you are at an area that you feel people will be abuisive, switch your chat tab to that blank screen. You will not see any of their abuse so you can complete your task without being affected emotionaly by their words. Later if you feel comfortable to check what they may have said, you could switch back after completing your goals for a funny read of people saying nonsense things.

I hope these words are of some help though overall please know that I support both you and the others you encountered in your enjoyment of the game. May you all have a lovely time on the server and I hope your next encounter with exp grinders turns out more pleasant for you.

Funniest (not rude) one I had was when farming on my DC main in Goblin cave in Cyrodiil.

A red came in, politely said "if you don't leave I will kill you"

    I responded by attacking him.

    He slaughtered me :)

This garbage happened to me before once too, in Hews Bane, way before the event there. Some group of rude insult throwing peasants were really reaming me for disrupting their farming routine. Expecting strangers to know when the boss is on cooldown for /you/ is absolutely absurd and I enjoyed staying there killing that boss for motifs, ignore is a lovely button :) I got called some real nasty ones, everything from me being inbred to being *** to being molested by my father....yep they went that far...and I didn't say one darn thing to them, just kept doing my thing ^_^ Never let entitled little swits ruin your fun. Report, block, and don't give them attention.

see this is exactly why i think dungeons should have a cap til new instances.

farming has destroyed the questing element and immersion aspects of the game. i farm- alot! its part of being an end gamer- u need the gear- this is how to do it. if you want to be competitive its necessary. but i also feel for every new game who comes into razaks wheel- anticipating adventure and exploration, excited to see wha new bosses are lurking, what chests they might uncover - and isntead- sees 50 idiots like me melting everything in sight in a perpetual loop - crushing bosses as they barely spawn and basically hogging the dungeon. something should be done for the good of the new gamer- who i personally think is the most important person in the game. making sure new players enjoy themselves is vital to the game surviving.

People who force others to play their way are nothing more than bullies. I will make sure to check that place each time i'm around there and kill the boss.

You know, if the team in charge of this game implemented server Channels (like every MMO should have) this wouldn't be a problem, you could switch to another Ch and have completed your quest without having to deal with Bot-minded grinding farmers. But hey that's just me crazy talking.

Eh, it would still be a problem. The MMO I used to play had server channels... I'd pick a random one to try to complete my quests, only to have groups of farmers telling me to "get off their channel". 12 different channels and they all had a group who had "claimed" the channel for themselves. Even named their guilds as such: "Channel X Farmers" or whatever, so that everyone else would know that they "owned" that channel.

Best way to make it not a problem is to just ignore the other players and do what you came there to do, regardless of their objections.

Or just do all your quests at 4 a.m. on a weekday, that always works for me (though I suppose that schedule may not work for everyone)
