I wish I had your life where 40 bucks is an insignificant amount of cash. For me it's damn near a month's worth of food.

    Ummm... I'm speechless.
    Do explain.

$40 bucks feeds u for damn near a whole month?? Strictly Ramen noodles only?

Nope, 40 bucks (which is what, 37 euros?) is enough to get meats, fish, vegetables and everything I need to make food for a almost a month. It boggles my mind how people waste 120 per week on food.

Very well put actually, can't argue there at all. I think imma strech out in bed now as well n get me sum zzz's before work tonight lol I'm tired.

Somewhere else 40$ is no biggie.. But ingame where bugs take 3-6 months to get fixed, console players cant play trials, and 5-10 minutes loading screens in cyrodiil?????
With logical thinking, a conclusion that Zenimax should pay us is just about right

Sir You underestimate my spending ability with food.

I am a sub and have no problem paying for more content. If some cannot afford $40, then don't buy it.

I think the addition of new content is what keeps games progressing and growing.

Last I saw it's $60 on console which is the price of a new full game...they're crazy thinking I will buy an expansion instead of a new game.

I wasn't complaining about the expansion price, more I re-evaluated, hence decided to cancel but soon changed my mind, missed crafting bag too much.

I think for most, it''s not so much buying an expansion that is the problem, I've been used to all MMOs doing that, it's more we were told by Zos that we would get approx 4 dlc a year for subscribing that non subscribers would have to pay for, and by the time Morrowind is released, a whole year would have past with none.

Just hope the content fits the price point.

Although I would like something semi-useful in the crown store at some point...

I'll spend $40 at a bar on Saturday.

Now THAT is a true waste of money. Morrowind will offer you substantially more time's worth of happiness for your money than any amount of intoxication in one night could.

The females at the bar you hang out in must be hideous.

Are women the only reason to go to bars?

I would compare it to a new release game. Eso was what, £40-50 in the UK when it was released.

With that came, 4 classes, 3 Alliance zones and Cyrodiil. A fair bit of content.

Does Morrowind compare to this with value for money? I wouldn't say so.

Not sure why, after 3 years of various DLC's, there is a need to call this an 'expansion'. To me it just seems suspiciously like a way of not giving it to subscribers without them forking out extra cash. This is further enhanced by the fact that you cannot buy it with crowns.

Maybe I just don't really understand the difference, besides spelling, between a DLC and an 'expansion'.

    Can you enlighten me please?
Is it that I can buy and play Morrowind without having the base ESO game?

You cannot afford $39 for this new expansion? An expansion you've had three months to save for until now, and another two months until it releases. Then you need to go get your priorities straight and maybe put your focus on something more productive?

I moved to the United States from Europe when I was 19 by myself with one suitcase. I first started community college but ended up with such good grades I could get into any private art school in the country. I now have a BA and still working on a masters while working. I now make a very good living as the top 100 designers under 30 in Los Angeles. So stop with all this whining and excuses. I won't buy it. Nothing in this world is for free. It requires hard work and definetly not something that will fall on your lap by playing a video game all day long.

So if you can't afford $39, then maybe you should do something more productive with your day and not waste that time infront of a PlayStation/PC/Xbox.

That confused me as well but you just have to find the upgrade version.

The way they decided to do this has created a ton of confusion. Look at the $60 version reviews. And finding the $40 version is kind of confusing as well. The first time it said it wasn't for sale outside of the bundle.

The greed has no doubt created a cluster.

One of the ESO Live episodes stated that if you started a new character in Morrowind, just doing the main story line, your level would be somewhere in the thirties. But, if you did all the quests, you would hit level 50 and have a good number of champ points. That is a lot of content.
I'm a sub and I already preordered the game. I watched the latest ESO Live and Morrowind looks fantastic. I was happy to see that it looked decently challenging. There are some mechanics we will not have seen before, with the new creatures.
Finally, computer programmers have to feed their families, send kids to college, pay mortgages. I know because my husband is a programmer. I work, I choose to spend my money on this game. It is my hobby. I will continue to support the game and the expansion of Tamriel. I think it is the coolest game I ever played.

I already bemoan the fact that AAA games almost always cost an undeserved $60.

$40 is the price of a new game. For an expansion to cost that much it better have tons of content.

Frankly any of the existing ESO zones do not contain anywhere near as much content as a single Elder Scrolls game. For this to cost $40 it better be very impressive in scale.

    "YEW CAN'T AFFORD -"

Yeah stop right there. It's not about having the money or not. It's about the content being actually worth that amount of money or not. Someone with $1000 in their bank could afford to buy a $500 ham sandwich, that doesn't mean the sandwich is actually worth that value.

I bet none of the people that are fine is the current prices have a daily income of less than $20.

Please understand that not all jobs are equal in monetary rewards, and the salary between countries for the same position can differ by a large margin.

Do you think that $40 on a virtual currency is something that can be even remotely considered for lets say a sanitary worker that is probably putting more effort in his job than a desk clerk.

I am a programmer and have no issues with paying the current prices. But at least I know that life is unfair, and some people consider it a luxury paying for a game.
