Should ESO reward players who participate with social media

qsnoopyjr
qsnoopyjr
✭✭✭✭
Players who like ESO facebook page, twitter page, instagram, etc.
Players who stream via google, twitch, and put on YouTube

Basically any player that promotes the game social media wise.

Rewards simple as 100 crowns per month as long as you stay liking the ESO page
Rewards simple as 100 crowns per youtube video with 1 thousand or more views

Social Media is the way to market, not utilizing it effectively will not let you reach as many people out there looking for something to do.
Satisified with 100 new players a day??? Some social media channels get 10k new viewers per day.

This strategy is called flooding the market, flooding the internet.

Would you like the ESO facebook page if they gave you 100 crowns per month? As long as you stay liking the page, and have liked it duration of a month to earn the 100 crowns.

Only if they give me 100 crowns for going door to door with pamphlets on ESO because ai hate Facebook , Twitter and Instagram . Learning what everyone had for dinner and looking at a thousand bad selfies at every possible angle is too high a price for such meager amounts for fluff items .

But they really want you to know that they can cook, clean, and go to the bathroom. It's important to them :)

Social media is a data mining scam. If you value your privacy at all, don't participate in anti-social media. If you want to be social, call a friend and talk in person.

Yes, we should be required to go door to door with ESO pamphlets, preaching the word of The Prophet and the struggle against Molag Bal.

    do it.

I would love to see a pamphlet agent for ESO. Not only would it be hilarious but it would be interesting to see if the average person door to door would actually play after getting one haha

    This is so millennial mentality.

you want a medal for participation.

No. You pay for a recreational/leisurely/non essential/luxury SERVICE. If you want them to continue to provide that SERVICE, then YOU pay THEM.

You are participating in social media when you're playing in ESO. Seems many folks are just chatting up on text chat versus actually playing the game.

No. I think it would be a bad idea overall. Those that stream and get viewers are already getting benefit and Zos can handle their own marketing.

    No.

I loath facebook. My workplace insisted that everyone have a facebook page. I made one, put the bare minimum of information on it, no friends list, no pictures, and made everything private. I used a throw-away email to do it. The workplace requirement was filled years ago and I haven't looked at it since. I really hate twitter, even more now since one certain person I intensely dislike abuses the crap out of it like a toddler throwing a tantrum. I have one Twitter that I'm signed up for, and you guessed it, it was a work requirement. I don't mind finding out that there was a water main break and the workplace is shut for the day. Youtube is basically forum posts with moving pictures. I don't use it much either.

If a company pays for likes they are paying for lies. Why would anyone trust that anything was a real opinion that the game was good, worthwhile, or anything else? I'd actually be more inclined that everything posted was an outright lie because the person is being paid to say it.

Naw. There are to many social media self celebrities. Rewarding would only add to those numbers and not weed out the very dedicated and best. Besides I think a while back zos did do something with live streamers. I don't have time to follow everything. Got my own art fart stuff I do.

No, I don't think it would be fair to people that can't or won't or don't use social media. I don't link my gaming activity to my real life social media profiles because I have a stalker and don't want them ruining my only stress outlet like they've ruined so many other things in the past.
