What is the deal with the recent price hike/shortage of certain alchemy mats?

Recently, i have observed a strange shortage of certain alchemy mats, especially flowers that make up spellpower pots used in trials. Seems like people are farming more, especially with the double harvest event, and if so - where are the materials? Last time i tried looking for flowers to craft some potions for a raid, i cleaned up rawlkha, grahtwood and some other capital cities guild stores just to make 200 pots. The flowers were near nonexistant. Or if they were for sale, the proces were unreasonable.

Can someone please enlighten me?

Personally, I started doing the alchemy writs again after not doing them for a long time - my only motivation is master vouchers. So maybe more people are hoarding for master writs, while more people than previously are out buying mats to complete them?

Interesting. The alchemy writs dont even take any expensive mats and you need very few of them to complete. I guess i am just confused. The flowers are hard to find specifically and the price of spellpower pots has doubled.

I always pick up everything I see but because a lot of it goes into my craft bag, i just leave it there. I have hundreds and hundreds of most alchemy and provisioning ingredients, like 3k fish, 800+ Mountain Flower, 1500 Larkhan's Tears and 10k Alkahest.

I have no plan to use them but no plan to sell them while I have the craft bag. Every now and then, when in the mood, I list a stack of ingredients in my guild stores and they get snapped up pretty quickly - 200 corn flower at 15k - 20k must be a bargain.

Master crafting writs are making a lot of previously worthless plants worth a bit more and flowers that had been reasonably priced, expensive.

How much is flour going for? Someone told me 20 are going for 10k. I'm sitting on 1.1k....
