I wouldn't mind the idea. All my gear is correct anyway so I have nothing to hide or be embarrassed about. I would be interested to see what some of the top players are wearing too.

Show gear/ hide cp. Tells more of tge story. Random groups will always be random, but knowing if your dps is in light armour with abow tells me more than the cp600 near their name

There should always be an option to hide your equipment if you wish.

Been discussed many times and most are with no.

This feature has never done what it was designed for and what you're asking for OP.
It becomes less about showing off your awesome gear and more about evaluation of others abilities via their gear.

We have threads already about if you're not CP600 GTFO group finder. Now imagine as people start kicks because someone isn't in meta gear, has it only epic (purple) quality etc.

If you want to show your awesome gear, link it in chat or screenshot and make a forums post.

I liked the option to look at someone's gear in Neverwinter Online, but it was often abused in group content. You used to see a lot of LFM messages stating "player must have xxx gear".

    Ultimately I prefer ESO's approach.

Not elite, not the best. Just enjoying ESO.
Not the worst either. "Casual" != "totally ignorant"

->> "No inspection or no invite"

Thats the end for pug grps/player, would kick everyone with shîtty gear when doing vHRC.

Means completely open or not, no private.

    Groupfinder:
The worst part is when it finally puts you in a group, your healer turns into a werewolf, your tank has 14k HP and the dps is heavy armor, using a restro staff and a two handed sword on the backbar. Then comes the 15 minute penalty before the cycle starts anew.

    Rulz of Morrowind:
    • The first rule of Morrowind is: You do not talk about Morrowind.
    • The second rule of Morrowind is: You do not talk about Morrowind.
    • Third rule of Morrowind: Someone yells NDA stuff, uploads images, streams, the game is over.
    • Fourth rule: only invited players can test.
    • Fifth rule: one invite at a time, fellas.
    • Sixth rule: crying or bashing on pts.
    • Seventh rule: NDA will go on as long as they have to.
    • And the eighth and final rule: If this is your first invite at Morrowind, you have to play.

Not sure where to post this at. Does anyone else agree that there should be an inspect option to check out someone's gear? Best part about raiding is being able to show off all your hard work. On console you can only link 1 item at a time in chat. Also I am only cp198 , I get kicked from groups but if they saw my gear maybe they wouldn't loll.

I wouldn't mind some form of this. Maybe an overall score? I don't like everyone viewing my hard-earned work and trial and error testing, etc. I'm far from experienced, but if I got to that point, why give all your work away.

I'd suggest a special score. Maybe something like an Armor Score, Weapon Score, etc.

If you've dug into the endgame of ESO at all, you can figure out what someone is wearing about 5s into a fight most of the time. The effects design for this game is pretty nice with regards to differentiation.

You got something to hide, hacker?

Shhhh I don't want my friends to see all the preposterous gear I'm rocking.

Oh my gosh, absolutely not! This created such a headache in WoW when it was introduced.

Yeah there should be, but players in this game are exceptionally sensitive to this kind of thing.

No, there should not be. There is an old saying that applies here: those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it. Been there and done that, horrible idea.

If they implement something like this, it should come up as a notification " Runs would like to view your equipment" and players should be able to accept or deny the request.

I don't believe one player is entitled to know another players build without permission. Yeah most builds are the same over and over again, but occasionally someone spends some time and finds a different combination that works well. It should be up to that person who took the time to choose if they want to share it.

You need to think this through a little better. If this is enacted like you suggest, shortly thereafter this forum will be loaded with threads stating, "I got kicked from a dungeon because I refused to show my gear". Enabling a function like gear inspection is only asking for grief. I have seen it and lived it.
