Do you like the quiet hew's bane after the annual festival was over?
Do you like the crowded Cyrodiil?
Do you like the crowded public dungeons?
Or do you prefer less crowds?

    @ OP

    Skewed question is skewed.

Been playing since launch and have yet to really come across a place that was unreasonably crowded for an MMO.

The most fun period was at launch when we had tons of people everywhere in PVE zones and ten PVP campaigns, epic battles all over the map 24/7, even weeknights.

Hoping Morrowind and some deep discount sales on the base game result in lots of new and returning players.

It's a sea of people in main cities guild traders areas always got a pile of overlapping characters.
There's also the lag. I hardly ever want to go to hews bane at festival times, it's overcrowded, people fighting for nodes and boss hits. Now it's finally normal, you only see a few people after a few runs.
Imo, the offpeak hours population is much more desirable, and less lag and crashes.
Maybe split servers would be ideal.

I was going to say just right, but I then I remember walking through Mournhold, and then I remembered checking out dolmens in Alikirs desert and then....

The crowding all depends on what zone you're in and then what part of that zone. "Popular places".

Certain things are too crowded but others seem empty almost always.

I believe that their One Tamriel approach is good but they would need to improve things often discussed such as traits, sets, materials and gold drops for people to spread out in crowded PvE areas

For PvP...the design begs for crowds but the servers impacts suggest it needs to be sparse so Cyrodil and Imperial City all need a One Tamriel major adjustment.

Cities needs to disable things like dueling and guild trader NPCs need to enable a guild store drop down for all active traders in each town accessible by One Npc.

Sadly I missed all of that, didn't get a chance to try IC until about a year later when it was already a ghost town.
    In Cyrodiil it is

Not so much on NA PC. Even Trueflame is kinda dead most evenings late at night Pacific time, although we did have a big wave of players from Japan join DC a month or two ago.

In front of banks in major cities like Elden Root, bring guildies and get 3 or 4 different duels started.

Crowds in a online game is a good thing. It means the game you so enjoy is healthy and thriving.
I would be much more upset and worried if there were no crowds like it was ~2y ago.

People should stop asking for single player experiences in MMO's, it's really irritating. It's not like there's a whole genre dedicated for it where you can have you power fantasy 'murshuns... No..

I don't really think it's overcrowded. For me overcrowded means I'm getting 18 FPS. yes some things could change (No dueling or spell casting in buildings. Dueling set to the city limits for example). Right now I get anywhere from 30-70 FPS. If that's the best I can get, I'm happy :)
Feel free to add me. I'm part of the Gummy Guars PC/Mac NA server. Master crafter and working on getting 9 traits on everything
