been thinking about how much differently I run the arena now as opposed to how I used to. I don't even use major brutality anymore. How has experience made your runs different.

Don't say easier, we all know that.

My VMA experience has taught me not to enter into it as much. Now I enjoy the game more.

My experience has changed drastically since I have higher dps now. I used to have to follow mechanics more. Now I skip them with higher dps.

Yeh for sure. I wondered about that and rememberes dps comes from technique, and I've done it enough times I know my technique has improved. Methodology in how I position adds/boss. Hell you know how long it took me to realize I was better off NOT standing next to voriak solkyn the whole time? I coulda saved myself at least 600 soul gems.

You don't run major brutality? As in any source or now you use weapon power pots instead of an ability?

I went from Entropy to spell Power pots
From Mark target to drain to Mark to no major breach atm
From twisting path to agony for range mobs to refreshing path
And from destro / restro to Double destros

And im constantly switching between bsw, julianos and spinner. Cant decide which is better stage times are pretty similar

You don't run major brutality? As in any source or now you use weapon power pots instead of an ability?

Yeh i have pots but i only use them on last boss. No need anymore now that mechanics are 2nd nature. I've gotten used to the mob spawns an they're always in my aoe abilities. Every now and again I'll use a pot on stf 6 or 8 boss if I feel greedy with my stun.

I'm mostly bored in there by now, so I try a different gear setup everytime I'm in the arena. Found a lot of fun and cool setups this way

Now that I have flawless on all my dd chars and healer and have all the weapons, the motivation is not really that high

My experience allowed me to grind magdk and magplar to get weekly rewards for them, as I can't get weekly on my mag sorc.

Mag dk first run 500k points and 3 deaths... people complain that mag sorc is easy

Magplar - just finished grinding yesterday, will do first run today...

Won't bother with magblade as scores are quite high.

I actually dropped eso for a couple months after a few months strait of VMA every day. Still missing the sharpened inferno, of course. But have sharpened in almost every other item that matters.

I now run it once or twice a week.. depending on the character and how efficient i'm feeling, i'll hit the leader boards.

Other experience has made everything go MUCH quicker and has made it possible for me to complete it with other classes. I could almost do vma in my sleep now.

That's pretty much the case for every other PvE content, dungeons, arenas, trials. Once you run it enough times you get to know and remember all the mechanics, anticipate and avoid them without even thinking about it. A week ago I was running VICP with some guild mates and just after we started someone called me and I was on the phone for the entire length of the dungeon. I didn't remember anything and I was worried that I've made terrible mistakes - I was tanking and that's a pretty hard dungeon from that PoV - but someone linked |Life Sentence| in chat. A few days later I've decided to run VRoM and VCoS without HM for no death achievement - I ran them lots of times with HM for the motif. I did both challenges in consecutive runs, on 1st attempt. So yeah, experience matters a lot. I haven't run VMA yet, as I had other priorities, but I'm looking forward to it.
