If you're looking for role-play fuel, the Daggerfall Covenant prides itself as would-be successors to the Alessian Order. The Dominion is pretty much a reversal of that and feels that human rule of Cyrodiil has left Nirn open to daedric invasion, and they take refugees from other alliances. On the Ebonheart side of things, they'd rather the old Empire, Covenant, and Dominion didn't try to interfere with Oblivion, though they still seek to control Cyrodiil and establish their preferred form of rule.
AD and EP both have stories that are a lot of fun to engage in. AD has to deal with strife within its own alliance. EP spends a lot of time dealing with invasions. AD reveals that Summerset and southwestern Tamriel are not as the human empires think they are, while establishing elements that later appear in TESV. EP is a chance to see Morrowind and Black Marsh, and a Skyrim that was much more built up than it will be in TESV. Both stories are worth sitting through at least once. I personally prefer the story of the AD and feel that it's a stronger one.0 -

Well this is just my experience, dc are nicer and maybe a little more coordinated in pvp, ep is not bad but I cannot stand the community. And as far as dc pve, I really enjoy the questing there the most.Edited by DragonBound on March 22, 2017 5:27AM0 -

EP in pvp is just zergs wich a lot switched to DC when Vet lvls where removed so no DC is like ep just zergs
AD in pvp never works together a AD zerg forms randomly and or very dissoginized but better chance with 1vx since lowest population since vet lvls removed and the dc population spikedDC PC NA

That way you can get all three free apartments and you can log in on the different characters to get faction specific things in Cyradiil.
Take advantage of the double XP coming and level them both. Even if you choose not to level both you can still use them to get things in Cyradiil.and then the parrot said, "must be the water mines green too."0 -

✭✭✭✭✭ADFor some weird reason Stonefalls chat is always so much worse than the other two factions no matter how many chances I give it. Glenumbra chat has its good days. I found that Auridon chat pre 1Tamriel was the friendliest, now that the dirty Pact is everywhere most places have evened out.
After the tutorial zone/newb island which is usually very quiet, the beginning zones are the worst. the capital city zones are just lfg and wts/wtb spam. the next zones are pretty quiet and chill on all 3 factions.
So if you've done the most boring quest line already (DC) then AD would be the next place to go. Avoid EP like it has the Khenaten Flu (it does).#FiteForYourRite Bosmer = Stealth

For pvp it seems like either of those two are strong in cyrodil. I know on DC it seems like they always struggle. But i only go in to get a few skills and leave... so i can't say for sure.CP690
