If they're going to give those who already bought them a 10K bonus, then sure. Otherwise, no. They do need to increase the functionality of the current banker/merchant, though (guild bank access, repairing).

This sounds like a great idea to me but raises the issue of: what happens with those who already spent 10k Crowns in getting both (potentially 70€). Are they receiving their 10k crowns back if they are subscribed? Are they receiving 8 months of free subscription?

Hmmm not sure I would want the 10k crowns or the 8 months free subscription either , so that's why I vote no still

this would be good, but I imagine a lot of complaints if those who paid 10k crowns from them don't get a refund.

How about just buy em with your sub crowns for 5,000 a piece.

Being a subscriber isn't some special thing folks. It's just an optional way to play and access things for you

Same could be said...let ppl buy the crafting bag...

A subscription actively supports the game every month, so yes, subscribers are more important than non subscribers.

    I'm not against it.
But....If that were to happen, then I would also ask that there be some compensation for people who have already spent Crowns purchasing them.
  • ramsonmodub17_ESO
Can we please set the merchant assistant to be able to repair armor just like the regular merchants do, or at least have them sell repair kits. Giving those who have already purchased the assistants a 75% refund would be good. We have already been using them for a while and have thus gotten use out of them. It would seem fair to me to refund 7,500 crowns for those who paid 10,000 crowns originally.

To get round the "already bought them" problem. Why not make it so that ESO+ members who buy the banker and trader get the added bonus of their banker allowing guild store access, and their trader allowing for repairs?

    @esotoon

I think the important or actually most important thing is that a subscriber isn't some special customer.

If there is an offer made to a subscriber than that same offer should apply to a customer who buys said item as everyone is a paying customer in this context

So much so that buying crowns should technically apply the same benefits but limited to a timeframe closely aligned with 1500/30 days

Subscribers kinda are special customers though.

I know this is a necro but this just kinda had to be said.

Buy them with the crowns you get as part of your subscription - then you've got them without paying anything extra, which comes to the same thing.

A new npc would be nice, he/she could be parked in your home or crafting house and each day you pick up your daily crafting writs from them and hand them back.

Speaking personally with 15 max crafters a day gets a bit tiresome loading characters from character select screen into the game. Then my daily ritual would go from:

Pick up writs from the boards > LOAD SCREEN INTO CRAFTING HOUSE > craft writs in record time > LOAD SCREEN OUT OF CRAFTING HOUSE > make way to drop off point.

    To this:
Speak to npc > craft writs in record time > speak to npc > Login next character.

Now that to me is a real QoL move.

WoW just WoW you want more then what your getting this update with the increased crowns the store section that will give you a discount on items and on top of that faster EXP gain and the craft bag and all DLCS including Morrowind and next year Summerset and you need more. This is so funny you Subbers make me laugh so hard if you get those craft bags need to be added to the store to be bought its only fair then to none subs who happen to spend $100+ a year to get all the content but no craft bag for us.

And to the person who said they have nothing planned for next year there already making it and have been working on it for almost a year on one DLC. And next year you will get 3 DLC's plus we get another chapter added and subs get 4 dlc's they do not have to play for unless you buy the chapter. But hey Subs don't get enough already and just want more for $15 dollars a month nice.

I align with the arguments against, however.... would we be opposed to say a limited amount of uses per month? So if you pay your Plus subscription you can use the assistant five times a month, for example? Whereas those who have paid for the assistants with Crowns can use them as many times as they like (barring any cooldowns there may be, I don't know). I think that could be a better way of handling it so neither party feels like they're getting a bad deal from their service, especially with how other DLCs are handled.

No. Many of us already purchased one or the other and would not benefit from this, would actually lose $$$ as a result so no.

Kind of how ESO+ Subscribers lost money when Morrowind was added to the subscriber package?

Just buy the assistants with the crowns from the sub. Problem solved.

The most useless part of the sub for me is the crowns. They just sit there. I hope they come up with another useful assistant so I have something to buy. Already have all the character slots. Inventory management is just so bad in this game that I either sub or go on hiatus.

Great idea. Not so sure anyone who spent a lot of money buying them already, would be happy.

I don't get the 'people already have them' logic. Many ESO+ members use their sub crowns to buy the DLC. The only difference here is that you would have already bought it. It's also a bit like saying items shouldn't go on sale cos I paid full price. I have ESO+ and both assistants.

The actual logic is that when people bought the assistants, they figured the cost was worth buying lifetime access to them. Adding them to the sub means they only bought 2 years access (I don't actually know when they introduced the assistants).

ESO+ is already a good deal just as it stands; it doesn't "need" any additional "added values" "to keep" it with anything.

If they decide to throw in some added perks to make subbing even more attractive, then great. If they throw us a new dungeon or two, or a very short quest line, or a freebee pet or costume piece, any damn thing they drop on the Crown Store as "DLC" to "compensate" us for the perceived inequity of the last few quarters then that;s more than enough. Because, and say it with me here kiddies, "It's not about the quality, it's just about the math..."

You should probably list what you think actually makes ESO+ today a good deal for new subscribers. The Craft bag is great but right now that's really the only thing of value you're getting for the $15/month ($180/year). The old DLC is no longer of value to subscribe for and there's no new planned DLC for the first half of this year.

As others have said what about those who already purchased these and are subbed.

They paid for what they needed and used those many times, it doesn't mean those features are theirs forever.

And ESO+ hasn't much to offer for players with multiple characters and tons of playing hours. Craftbag really doesn't matter for me, I know what to keep and what to destroy/sell. Have millions gold, few houses, good gears, tons of mats in craft bag from previous subbing etc.
There is a point when you realise that eso+ has not so much to offer as you previously thought. Craftbag or experience gain or those DLCs you explored many times, they are no longer a bargain card, there should be more to it.
