Thank you! An enlightened soul in a sea of morons. Reading is too much to ask apparently. If ZoS gets more money by placing a few ads on their website, so be it.

The non-fixing and non-mention of certain bugs annoys me as well though, especially that vMA staff bug in groups....

I COULDN'T READ IT THROUGH MY FULL IN SCREEN ADVERTISING!!! HELP!!!

    Groupfinder:
The worst part is when it finally puts you in a group, your healer turns into a werewolf, your tank has 14k HP and the dps is heavy armor, using a restro staff and a two handed sword on the backbar. Then comes the 15 minute penalty before the cycle starts anew.

    Rulz of Morrowind:
    • The first rule of Morrowind is: You do not talk about Morrowind.
    • The second rule of Morrowind is: You do not talk about Morrowind.
    • Third rule of Morrowind: Someone yells NDA stuff, uploads images, streams, the game is over.
    • Fourth rule: only invited players can test.
    • Fifth rule: one invite at a time, fellas.
    • Sixth rule: crying or bashing on pts.
    • Seventh rule: NDA will go on as long as they have to.
    • And the eighth and final rule: If this is your first invite at Morrowind, you have to play.

I wonder how much they charge for advertising in the game.

I figure I could get some good recruitment banners up for the Pact.

Well just logged into game and tried some stuff.

triggered bolt escape and a pop-up for WD-40 appeared. :)
triggered crystal fragments and a pop-up for super-glu appeared. :)

not sure if i am intrigued, titilated or scared to see what pops up when i switch to dragon and trigger fiery chains. ;)

Simple fix... Don't install those advertising add-ons from ESOUI.
It seems the community managers (@ZOS_GinaBurano) could have avoided a lot of player outrage by linking or copy-pasta the 3rd party privacy into the patch notes. So players could easily READ that it applies to the website only.

Yeah. The fact is that when you go to the Bethesda Twitch site to watch a prior video, you get a nice ad that plays before you can watch it. The ad benefits Bethesda. Says so right on the screen. I suspect that their Privacy Policy update is after the fact. Bethesda is nothing if not creative on how to monetize things, and web advertising and visitor profiling is an obvious way to do it.

So we've been submitting bug reports for months. Trials are still buggy. Group Finder is still broken beyond belief. Heck my character is still running around with half-of her body underground.
Monster shoulders are still >1% chance RNG. Dungeon drops is still higher in-slot than 9 trait crafting that takes years to be able to make.
But "This patch largely contains a number of fixes for unreleased and future content that is not yet available, including things for future in-game holidays and events, so don’t worry! You’ll see it one day. We are still working on fixes for a number of reported issues including those with the Grouping Tool, issues surrounding Bolt Escape, and more."

2 seasons of crown crates. Homestead houses that cost more than Mass Effect Andromeda. 39.99 EUR for Morrowind which should have been accessible to subscribers.
But "and we've added a section for third party marketing"?

Am I being unreasonable or is this actually okay?

It's fine. Really, it is. There is a bigger picture here, and it has nothing to do with marketing, ads, or the privacy policy.

The patches have been getting smaller, and that is because more of the fixes are being channeled into Morrowind than Live. This happens before every update, and given the size of Morrowind, I think we are seeing it earlier than normal.

Now we are entering a period of time where only the critical fixes will be put into the patches, and only when they are ready to be put into the patch. Everything else is going into Morrowind.

There will be a Morrowind PTS period of 6-8 weeks prior to the simultaneous release on PC, Mac, and Console. We know that Console approval takes two weeks, so my guess is that they want the bulk of the fixes to be ready by the middle of May so that they can be in the console release. That puts an estimate out there that says that Morrowind will hit PTS no later than the middle of April, and quite likely in the first half of April.

It is very possible that we are within 2 or 3 weeks of Morrowind hitting PTS, a month at the outside. In any case, they are scrambling to get Morrowind ready for PTS right now.

That is why we are not getting a lot of fixes in our patch content.

They didn't help their case by including the privacy and advertising updates in an in-game patch and not clearly indicating that the changes were (apparently) not actually in-game.

    1. My post was satire for the Ad's
    2. Boyo Bethesda does not need anymore Money, at this given time they just won a half billion lawsuit against facebook.
and 3. the Morrowind PTS will be like every PTS this game has held. they will release a half chopped version of it from a "previous" build, then say that any bugs you see will be fixed and when the game is released which Spoiler alert! they don't.
the only things they focus on in a ESO special Live stream is their crown crates, how the art is looking for the loading screens and some random bug that causes graphical issues on a part of a dungeon that no one cares about but maybe like 0.5% of the ESO population cares for. Then they will finally will start working on issues of PVE then take a 2 week break to play golf. then finally Acknowledge a game breaking bug but then fix something In PVP that has nothing to do with the issue. Its like watching a blind person paint.

Instead of fixing the issues we've been having for months, and contributing to the community's overall satisfaction. They're chasing money.

Neon WoW mounts that cost more than the base game.

Crafting bags for subscribers, yet no increase in the number of sub crowns per month when the cost of everything in the crown store doubles.

Casino crates in spite of community outrage.

Surprised? No. It's all about that short term profit milking at all costs in this world.
