SolarCat02✭✭✭✭✭Endgame most of my gear is dropped, so whichever I get in the trait I want, unfortunately.
If I have a choice, though, it depends on the style! Some, like Trinimac style, look very ornate and I feel the robe is necessary to show that. Others the Jenkins looks better. If the pants are ugly the robe is always preferred.
Then of course, purpose. If it's light armor for PvP and I don't want to wear a costume the jerkin is the preference because there is no need to advertise that my character is in light.
(Although with heavy armor, adding the Daedric skirt or Mercenary kilt is fun. I wish the Trinimac wings were still connected to the shoulder piece.
) Why be normal when you can be better?

✭Jerkins, cause if i want a Robe-ish look, i equip a legs that is a skirt. I hate the fact most Robes go all the way to the ground.
