Ilambris Shoulders - super rare drop?

I've used well over 100 keys on Gilirion's chest since Homestead launched, and I have yet to ever get a single Ilambris shoulder piece. Is this just obscenely bad luck on my part, or is Ilambris a super rare drop from his chest?

Dropped about 70 the other day to try to get a couple specifics, that one included.

I think I ended up with a couple off traits, a couple training/prosperous, but zero divines in the required weight.

I had impenetrable everything dropping left and right though.

The RNG does not seem to be equal, but there's no good way to tell (people don't keep going after getting the one they want)

I think you're just unlucky. I have gotten a few of each shoulder so I think the drop rates are about equal.

This game knows what you want or need and won´t give it to you. I spent over 80 keys to get single kragh shoulder with bad trait. This game hates us. I´m not paranoid I tell you (suspiciously looking around).

You have to open the chest with a stamina based toon to get magicka based stuff. That way, you fool the game into thinking its still screwing you but you're getting what you want.

This is of course after making a sacrifice proportionate to what you ask of the rngeities.

I have often thought this is the case... I got a lot of my long sought after DPS gear while tanking and long sought after tank gear while DPS'ing. There does seem to be a little troll in the RNG machine, but it could just be coincidence...

8 days and 8 keys a day I got no Llambris so 64 keys with no Llambris I finally got my Llambris heavy with divines yesterday so about 67 keys with no Llambris drop this game is broken.

But I got 3 Iceheart heavy shoulders back to back in divines and 1 more in reinforced lol

I agree with op Llambris seems to be the rarest drop from Redbeards Chest

It almost seems as if the RNG is tied to time/time of day somehow, as there almost seems to be a pattern when turning in multiples.

Hard to say in instances like these if it's better to have right weight/wrong trait or right trait/wrong weight (loss of Undaunted Mettle)

I do know that training and prosperous need to be taken completely out of the mix after cp160...

My very first drop in the new chests was a divines Llambris shoulder. It actually stunned me because I was a sorc and that is what I had been hoarding keys for. I then decided I needed grothdarr. I put at least 200 keys in the chest to get divines shoulders and then got a second pair about 3 keys later.

Unfortunately, it's all RNG.

It may seem that way, but it is not. Don't get me wrong, RNG can be a disaster, but 67 keys is a minuscule sample size to draw any conclusions with a loot table as big as it is.

From my point of view, Pirate Skeleton and Grothdarr are rare, and Llambris is abundant. It doesnt mean I am right, though. Considering there are 288 possible shoulders in that chest, you have barely scratched the surface with 67 keys. Even if you spent 288 keys, the math shows that there is still a strong chance you wont get what you want.

I'm around CP 440 ... I've been doing dailies since level 45. hundreds and hundreds of keys it has to be. I have put, by my estimation, roughly 90% of my keyes in Glirion's chest.

It took me 86 keys (I counted) to get my first pair of ilambris shoulders (infused). I'm still wearing them.

I've continued to farm that chest almost every day. I've seen a couple prosperous and training - never divine. Worse still I specifically am looking for medium divine. The only purple gear item I wear on my magsorc is my ilambris shoulders. I refuse to gold it out until I find divine.

I spent 60 keys and finally got a pair. Light Prosperous, lol.

I don't wear them out of spite. I can't bring myself to deconstruct them though. I mean, I'm not crazy.

I hear you but absolutely no Llambris drops at all 67 keys no Llambris anything not training not prosperous nothing it can happen but I tend to get every shoulder set even in crap traits quite often.

RNG is seeded per character. So try doing pledges and opening chests on another character.

I think you should be able to share what you get from the key from that dungeon with the group members like the Helms. Would at least up the odds slighty

I got the mask Ilambris pain in the ass been using the keys as well in Glirion redbeards chest no luck at all I wonder if its bugged .
Or I read above the game don't like us at all.

Sounds about right.

The RNG in those chests is severely unfairly weighted against ilambris, Maw of the infernal, and others. Not all sets have an equal chance
