However as a consumer I can choose to buy a slot or I can choose to NOT buy a slot.
Whatever you think of ZOS and their business practices what you do and dont do in the crown store speaks louder than anything that you can say in this forum.0 -

Um, you have 8 character slots to start with. And then can expand that to 12 through purchasing additional slots (currently) which I have done. This is no different than ANY other game out there. They give you ample slots to start. If you want more you purchase them. It was your choice to use all those spaces up to begin with. You have very unreasonable expectations. Something for nothing I guess...?

Um, long time players literally maxed out every stam/magic version of every class and now all of a sudden a new class appears. Awesome! How much is the expansion? Alright cool, I'll pay that. Oh, no additional extra slots? Alright...I'll pay that, I guess? It's whatever though, long time players shouldn't expect any treatment compared to someone who is playing eso for the first time because of the Morrowind expansion. So when the extra slots go on sale for crowns everyone will grab them, right? Moral of the story...

ANY other game? You mean any other free to play game, right? This reminds me of when Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare came out. They introduced an awesome new gameplay system where you would get loot after every match. Gun variants, cosmetic gear, and more. Then I found out they had intentionally limited the number of slots you could have for gear, which forced you to either scrap stuff or buy more slots for real money. This is at that level of greed. The Activision/COD level. $40 for an expansion and they want to charge another $30 to increase a single player variable by two (it would literally be changing a character slot variable to a new number)? They can get out of here with that.
I'm sick to death of this "you can't expect things for free" argument. Just what in the hell is free? Base cost, "chapters" (with the sneaky change to the ESO+ terms language), paid DLC, subscriptions, crown crates, a crown store that would put the trashiest Perfect World F2P MMO to shame, nickel and diming like this, "free" content updates (housing) that are designed to push people to the store. When is it enough? How many hundreds of dollars do people have to drop into a game before they can expect a full experience? How much money do people need to spend before they are no longer called "cheap" or "entitled?"3 -

Stormahawk✭✭✭✭This is a paid expansion and since they are adding a new class, one free character slot is a given. It feels like a slap in the face to customers who paid $60 or $100 for the digital/physical collectors editions only to have to pay more to play warden.
It is not entitlement to expect something basic like one free character slot in return for having paid AAA game pricing for an expansion that adds one zone.1 -

While I do not *need* to have 14 characters (I currently have 12), I like playing in different ways sometimes. Having a ton of characters with different abilities and backstory makes me play this game and enjoy the stories. And yes I do play all my characters (some more than others).
Since they all have max horse trained, I do not want to delete them. I will use my ESO+ crowns to buy more slots as these become available.PC-EU0 -
