I personally disagree with this. I have no problem with paying for the Xpac, and have already pre ordered it. That said I think one free character slot should have been included with the purchase.
If this had been a free update or DLC we could pay for with Crowns or play as a subscriber I would agree with paying for a new slot, but not if we're paying for an Expansion.

A more complete solution would be to have additional character slots AND also be able to purchase a class change from the Crown store. Some folks like myself just want to stay on their main toon and have some fun trying out a different class.

Right now on my main character I've completed most of the game (main story, Cadwell quests, DLC stories, collected all skyshards, max Undaunted, high Alliance rank, Mages Guild, Fighters Guild, etc.). I think creating another character and "power grinding" your way to max level just to enjoy another class is way too restrictive and time consuming...I've completed the entire story and while it was enjoyable I have no desire to play through it again. I've ventured down the "power grind" path with my crafter alt and frankly it's mind numbing and not very fun...generally just trying to speed through everything to get the achievements that I've already unlocked on my main.

Creating a new Warden character to take through Morrowind would be fun at first...then I would bang my head against a wall thinking about grinding that new champ through the rest of the game for skyshards, skill points, Alliance rank, Undaunted rank, etc.

I would like to see two additional character slots included in at least one of the upgrade packages.

So for players that have maxed out their slots, put an upgrade package out there that:

- includes 2 additional character slots
- 2 crown crates

That would be what I would take. I'd get additional slots and still have a chance at getting a fresh mount.

- No new slots? So you'd have to delete a character or two, but hey at least you wouldn't have to pay any more!
- Free new slots? And devalue the purchase of every single person who has bought character slots already, and may or may not care about making a new one?
- No new class? At least you wouldn't have to consider opening you wallet then. Maybe this is the best choice for you.

Sigh. I've never seen more entitled opinions or sheer personal financial incompetence than I have on these forums over the last 24 hours.

Is the plan to do this every time a class gets released? This is absolutely terrific news but if we aren't getting any more ever then I want to actually start rationing my remaining slots. I'd hate to have to delete one of my alts with max riding training, a bunch of research, etc. just to make a new class.

Go cry to Tumbler, we live in a capitalistic society, Free stores and income for doing nothing is unrealistic. ESO isn't a really alt centric game to begin with, if you're looking for that there are many choices available.

Don't worry sub has been cancelled and I will go play something else at end of March , and I know that they have to have a income somewhere I have no issue paying for the expansion , but when I've already payed to have the maxed slots available and then they bring out a new class , the expansion should have two free slots with it

Don't know what the problem is but being a sub you get 1500 crowns a month so you already have bought the extra slots unless you blown the crowns already.

Should be giving 1 for free with the release of a new character like most other MMO's tend to do, not charge for 2 more. You didn't pay to have maxed slots, you payed to have 12 slots, and you'll still have those...

I always expected that if they introduced a new class I'd have to buy character slots in order to play it. Naturally I would prefer to get a couple of extra slots free with the expansion in order to create characters of the new class from the expansion, but I didn't expect that.
