Who else predicts this price? After the elk was 4500 and the dromathra motif being 6000, I have a feeling this is what we will see tomorrow.

I kinda like that they are expensive. Because the game would be worse (IMO) if everyone had exotic mounts. I assume the people who buy them would also feel less special with everyone else riding their exotic mounts. So it is probably good for everyone that they are so expensive.

LMFAO....This is just a business practice, Zos has a developer or two work on a cool mount and in return make some $ off of it. If you don't agree, don't buy? Do you know how many players actually buy a large portion of those exotic mounts just because they're cool? Personally I have 2 the snowbear mount(match the costume/pet) and the black panther, *it's just another product*

Edit: Complaining about prices won't change anything, it's just complaining. Defending high prices because people will feel less special is actually...interesting... @Thealteregoroman for mvp.

Well if we are going based on trends, my guess is the mount will cost 350% more than the standard 1,800 crown mount and will not have a saddle nor proper animations. It'll probably just glide across the floor looking like a poorly made rug.

Even better when you snatch one of the unpopular exotic mounts. It's incredibly uncommon for me to see someone else riding what has to be my favorite mount out of anything released so far:

If they charge that much, they'll not only decrease their sales, they'll be leaving anyone who DOES buy it a target for bullies to harass, like how some people who bought the elk have been harassed when they ride it.

Seriously, they need to keep the prices lower for several reasons. If the price is reasonable, they wouldn't just double their sales, they might triple them, and make all of their players happier as a result. Happier customers spend more money, ultimately.

Or they could charge a million crowns for it, and make their player base unhappy, and leave it so that only rich people can have a sabre cat mount. Their choice, I guess. I don't know why they'd want their paying customers to be unhappy, though. Doesn't make good business sense to me. *Shrugs*

I'm the opposite - I have the clouded senche-leopard and I love it when I find someone else riding the same one, even knowing they may have just gotten stuck with it after opening crown crates trying for something else.

Although sometimes you get a selection of mounts together and that can be fun too. The other day we had someone on a grey wolf outside the bank in Daggerfall with me on my white wolf on one side and someone else on a black wolf on the other side. That looked cool.

I want the black senche, I wish I'd bought it back when it was available, but I refuse to gamble on crown crates to try and get one. I hope they come back on sale, if not I'll keep my money and stick with my cloud one.

That's such an extremely weird argument. But hey, people were willing to spend 4500 crowns on a reskinned horse, erhm sorry, I mean "elk", so I guess there are lots of people with more money than sense. Honestly though ZOS will keep upping the price until they get to a point where nobody is buying it anymore, but since people are all for buying the super expensive houses I'm not sure where exactly that point is... But hey if spending a lot of money on a reskinned mount you probably already have (guessing saber will probably be a reskinned senche or wolf, unless they actually took the time to give it its own type of animations, which doesn't seem to be the trend unfortunately) then go ahead and do so, meanwhile you can pat yourself on the back and feel all special inside. Seriously though I think everyone should stop supporting this ridiculousness, but people are almost throwing their money at them, so of course they'll keep going. That's how the crown crate lottery shite became a thing.

No. Then it means that only rich people can have the mounts, and in what universe is that acceptable or ok? Their job is to make all their customers happy, not just the rich people. Also, I don't give two flying farts about people "feeling special" because they have a mount no one else has. To heck with that.

If someone "feels special" because they have an unusual mount in a game, they need to rethink their life.

It means no such thing.

People who want this mount will buy this mount, if they feel it is worth spending the money on. It does not matter whether the person is 18 years old working part time at the local diner for minimum wage plus tips or some Wall Street executive who lights his stogies with $100 bills.

There is absolutely no reason to be bringing in "rich", and by implication, "poor", and labeling things in the Crown Store accordingly.

I mean, these things are going to be priced at what people will pay for them. They will be priced high if they sell enough of them at that high price - if no one buys them, then maybe next time they will think lowering it is a good idea. Only speaking with the wallet will make a difference.

Amen, thank you. The need to make someone else miss out on something in order to feel special just doesn't make any sense to me. It seems so petty when I see people whining about not feeling 'special' anymore if they bring back limited time mounts or whatever. Sorry I know this isn't what this thread is about but my annoyance with that argument has been building up for a while here, it's nice to see someone else voice my thoughts on that.

And that's literally what it is ... they want other people to miss out on something so they can "feel special." It's like if someone took all the steak at a buffet on purpose just so other people can't have any, just so they can look down their noses at the peasants and feel important.

(*I'm only talking about the people who actually want other people to miss out, though. If someone enjoys knowing they have a rare mount, but doesn't care if other people are able to get one later in a crown crate, then I think that's fine, and I'm NOT talking about them.)
