If your playing a stamina templar correctly your damage is great as is your healing with vigor. Killing enemies you can instantly restore stamina and health, jabs is a very powerful attack, throw in brawler plus momentum and your hard to kill.....no idea why people bash on stamina templar when it's so strong. Your using a build that isn't good if your having any issues killing things or surviving a fight

I'm curious, do you have a stamplar build that can compete with magplars, magdks and magsorcs in terms of survivability and damage? I'd love to do vmol hm on my stamplar, but for all build ideas I had so far, it felt like the others would have to carry me through the trial.

Jabs is an OK skill, but does not match Puncturing Sweeps overall.
PotL is annoying, but its not a powerful skill.
    Javelin is extremely expensive.
Repentance is good, but used by healers.
Restoring Focus is very nice, but not purely stamina oriented.
Empowering sweep is outperformed by Dawnbreaner in damage (and basically everything else).

What's nice as a stamina templar?

Major mending is ok to have. Passives are very nice. Access to a class based cleanse. That's pretty much it.
Skill costs are ridiculous, and Stamina Templars perform Ok based on weapon and armor choices, not on class benefits.

Again, this aims to be a funny post, that's it. Calm your salt.

    I disagree.

PotL is nasty in pvp. Mine have hit for 9k+. Time that with a crescent sweep, which does more upfront damage than dawnbreaker, and it is usually gg.

Mostly all the skills you listed are super useful. If restoring focus didnt force you to sit/come back to it, it would be a very great skill as well. In its current state it is just good/our best option for max resists.

Buried mine this patch :( I don't have sharpened Vma daggers (despite so many runs..) and the best dummy parse I can pull is 37k which is worse than any of my magic characters, except the nightblade, so I don't bother bringing it in trials.

What it is good for is grinding, if you're not Max cp, grinding a friend, or farming through dungeons quickly repentance and vo is so op. Not bad in PvP either. But roleplaying in riften is where it's at

    @Kadoozy

Likely 5 twice fang and 3 VO or Alkosh. Don't have an idea of monster helm. Bow would have been vMA and prob daggers as well but stamplar gets less benefit from vMA daggers than any class.

Delivery if the rotation also makes a big difference.

For real. #1 trials player on ps4 gets #1 every week on stam templar. Stam templar is an awesome class, it's awesomely tanky, I do my vet dailies in med armour, 11.4k hp, while healing the group af tanking half the time. Stam temp is dmg mitigation master.

Stam temp is only behind stam dk in single target dps. It has nothing on mag sorc burst aoe but its sustained aoe is way good. Stam temp is made whole by some passives most people don't understand and a very odd incredibly complex rotation that would make most mag dk's quit the game. It's a phenominal class and I have fun with it.

Off point, after 10hrs farming vma on my stamplar I got lucky and got sharp vma bow. I'm parsing 38k with spriggans and 31k with tbs on 3m hp dummy all solo. My frontbar vma dw isn't sharp so having to use sriggans is gimping me atm. But the build is beast.

If you know stamplar builds then it goes without saying it's a portable heal tank with high sustained aoe dps.

They are not bad at all in PvP these days. Very weak in PvE. You basically need dual sharpened VMA weapons and a VMA Bow and a purely single-target boss who is willing to stand there and get beat on. As soon as there are adds or mechanics that require moving around a lot, your DPS plummets and other classes/builds become much better. And since ZOS has designed most boss fights to discourage stack-and-burn, there are few fights where Stamplar is competitive.

You hit the nail right on the head with this survey. This is my CP600 Stamplar. She ticks all those boxes, not just provisioning.

    [img][/img]WdHYHmB.jpg

Great as a house keeper, a dead loss as a solo boss killer.
First rate at home economics, hopeless at resource management.
Stealth? It's clearly not that type of temple.

OK for farming crabs and zerging dolmens, but nothing else. And when you have one of every other class/build to choose from why struggle on with an obvious no hoper.
