2 sets vs 1 set with a monster set for a stamsorc?

Trying to figure out what is best right now, keep in mind I am new and far from getting maelstrom weapons yet, I figured I probably will not even bother with a second set with maelstrom weaps.

    Ok so... if you have DW or Sword and shield you can have monster plys two sets if one is drop set with three jewels.

    Assuming you are talking bow or 2H where this is not possible you may want to consider "swapper" builds. they get you the best of both worlds.

    Swapper set - for instance.

    Witchman - 3 jewels, 1 body, 1 weapon
    Crafted set - 4 body, 1 weapon
    monster sets - 2 body.

    put the witchman weapon on the back bar.

    When fighting on the front attack bar you get the monster full set, the crafted full set and the 2-3-4pc bonus of the witchman but thats fine.

    When you are ready to use ultimate, swap to backbar and fire the ulti with 5pc witchman
    (5 items) When you use an Ultimate ability, you heal for 30 Health and you restore 30 Stamina per point of the Ultimate's cost.
    Bam ulti hits.
    Refresh any other backbar you need and swap back to front to fight until ulti is ready again.

    because the witchman 5pc bonus is slow to recharge - you have to redo the ulti - you lose nothing by not having it active all the time.

    other sets which play into this type of design include:
    Clever alchemist: useful either magica or stamina - in this case crafted would be backbar.
    Lich: useful for magica.

    There are others but these are the ones which come to mind. basically the longer the cooldown on a 5pc bonus the better it suits because that typically means the bigger bonus to an extent.

    I ran 5pc Black Rose, 7pc Viper & 2pc Tremorscale for quite a while.

    DW/S&B for full three sets procing at all times is really fun. Insanely high DPS.

    For pve s and shield not really good for stamsorc maybe good in pvp though.

    Just think in terms of total slots. Pre vma weapons you have 12 slots. So monster set + two 5/5s is no problem. Only caveat is they can't both be crafted since you need jewelry.

    No reason you can't have two 5/5s even after vma since you'll still have, wait for it.. 10 slots. You could also do a monster set, a 5/5, and a 3/5 (or 3/3 like agility).

    No reason you can't go 2 5-piece sets and a monster set for PVE. As others have said, just need one to be non crafted for jewelry. The obvious answer for the dropped 5 piece is vicious ophidian or twice fanged, both trials sets. For stuff that can be bought, I would go with spriggans. Then pair it with either nightmothers or hundings. Make the weapons crafted (sharp daggers and bow) so you don't blow 400k on spriggans daggers.

    Spriggans is very strong solo and 4-man, but it's overkill on penetration in trials. Eventually, you will get your trials gear and you can swap it in. Once you get everything you wil go with a 5 piece, 3 piece (jewelry), 2 piece monster and 2 VMA weapons.

    For VMA itself, it's tough to beat 5 NM , 5VO and 2 Monster (velidreth for VMA).

    you can run 2 full sets and monster set. all of the following sets come in weapons, tbs, hundings, spriggans, vo, automation. spriggans, automation, VO also come in jewelry.

    Ok thanks all I must have miscounted I was thimking you can only do 2 5 pieces with dw or s and shield with monster set.
